No mention of any problem with Bentancur in today's press conference by Antonio , Lucas & Gil not available, Cuti & Skippy awaiting availability on fitness reports.

One big push required by the boys and then the first stage of the season is done.

We will be able to rotate against Fulham and it's at an ideal time to be able to with the champions league starting the 6th/7th followed by away to City.

We have to rotate vs Fulham so a week off for most going into this one would be my incentive to the boys.

A massive 3 points up for grabs. This needs to be where our season starts with regards to taking things up a notch.

I want to see if we can control the midfield more if Bissouma starts. Because if West Ham controls the midfield and possession like we've seen the last few weeks, it's going to become a very hostile atmosphere.

I'd actually keep Sanchez in for his defending and they love s set piece goal.

Bring Romero back against Fulham.

Only CB change is IF Romero is fully fit, even then maybe Sanchez should start. I remember last year, Romero antagonized Antonio at 0 0. That got Antonio and the crowd going and we lost.
Dier and Davies need to play.
Maybe start Lenglet v Fulham or in CL

How would we organise the back three? Lenglet plays on the left and is very left-footed, like Davies. That would require Sanchez to continue in place of Romero, with Dier between them.

Especially if they're going to need to deal with Antonio, who is a handful even when he isn't scoring, I'd rather persevere with the tested trio of Sanchez, Dier and Davies. Lenglet can ideally have his debut when we can have Dier and Romero to hold down the other two places.

Agreed around the trio at the back.... Antonio is a handful and is a physical player, would be unfair on Lenglet and dont think he would be able to handle him.

Lenglet could start v Fulham although Mitrovic is also a physical kind of player and great in the air.

A draw against an upper mid table team is no good to us. Based on the last few seasons, you can get away with dropping points in a maximum of 8 or 9 games if you want any chance of winning the league, you can’t waste one of those against West Ham this early in the season when they’re not playing well.
Yeah I think it’s games like this that decide whether you are going for a title or top 4. If it is the title then need to be looking at a win.

just for the record I personally think the league title is a bridge to far.

Talk of rotation in coming games. That should be done over several games with one or two changes. Not a complete toss around with the line up. We shouldn't select a game where we go this is the one to rotate in and then change half the team. Never make too many changes in one go.

In my mind, I see Conte scribbling notes, nodding furiously, thinking ‘this guy could be onto something…’

It’s crazy to be talking about the league but until we fall away im gonna believe we can win it. That means beating teams like West Ham, regardless of any hatred they have towards us, only makes it sweeter when we win.

We've had several previous managers who could take a note of it, Conte probably got it handled.
You can see it in our fan base though, and on here. People are looking for a game with poor opponents and thinking that's the game, that's the one where we can play the back up XI. That's how you go out of tournaments.

I’m not disagreeing. Personally, I don’t think Conte is a great coach, but I do like his consistency in selection for now. Not that he’ll care what I think…

Lenglet should play for this one. I doubt Conte will make the move but West Ham wants to sit deep and we need his passing from the defence.

Dropping Son can’t help to boost his confidence. Did Kane get benched even he didn’t score for handful games last season?
Rotate Kulu with Richy. We need both Kane and Son in our team
Also, I will start Bissouma ahead of Bentancur as well. Rest remains unchanged
It’s called rotation.

Rotate Lenglet on at 52 minutes by which time we'll be 3-0 up to warm him up for the Fulham game.

If Romero is still unavailable then I’d like to see Lenglet start. We just need to be a bit better coming out from the back and having one of our centre backs to step into that midfield as the 3rd in the middle to help our transition. Expect Bissouma to come in and maybe Richarlison too.

how you could contemplated giving him a debut at Wham - they will put the ball in the box use the strength of Antonio and quite possibly the height of Scimacca and Soucek its not passing the centre halfs will need to worry about
