Oh, if only it could happen! I can imagine the last day of the season, pipping the Scum and the Scum Mk II to the top spot, and then keeling over of a heart attack, with a grin on my face a Cheshire Cat would envy.

In all fairness, the concept is a good one.
Clearly we can't win the league so that's not even worth talking about, however, in the same way that we have gone 8 games without a win, should we get it right and turns things around, there's every chance that we could 8 games without a loss.
What I mean is that in the 2006/07 season we finished 5th on exactly 60 points, we Won 17 Drew 9 and Lost 12 - In the same season, Blackburn finished 10th and lost 16 times! Now there are 30 games left, we could still potentially lose another 10 games and still finish mid-table, that is my point here.
My Reading supporting mate agreed with me the other day that outside of the top 4 we still have one of the most talented squads in the league, in January it's going to be even stronger, there is NO reason why we can't get that first win and ride that bad boy over the following weeks, boosting our confidence and then getting our season back on track.
Will it happen.......who knows, is it possible....ABSOLUTELY

we need around 50 more points to get 6th... thats 1.66ppg.. or around say 14 wins, 8 draws, 8 losses... allowing for those 8 losses being liverpool h/a, arsenal h/a, man utd h/a chelsea h and one other... it's still doable... but very very unlikely! :lol:
