If Naughton was fit he would have played LB. Vertonghen at LB is a great back up, back up plan and is more evidence of a very shrewd summer re-shuffle but he will never be our first choice at LB when he is such a good CB.
The player himself even said that he came because he was told he could play his position at CB.

There was a thread on it a few weeks back where it was confirmed to run until past this season.

There is a website saying BAE's contract runs out at the end of this season but more reliable sources say otherwise.

Sorry to be a bit heavy handed with the comment but I like vertonghen too it's just we get so far and have to sell and start again.

I would love us to be champions but unless we get mega rich owners it probably won't happen.
