We were sat near the Bayern fans, I'm sure the stadium shouldn't have been shaking like it was when the Dortmund fans were bouncing up and down!
Wembley isn't used to atmosphere...

That explains it!Wembley isn't used to atmosphere...
Dortmund challenges were rather robust in some cases though, several body checks on Bayern players that weren't given as fouls as they should have been.Sadly, the general consensus of the neutrals around me do not agree with you about the referee (not to mention the booing of the officials at the end of the game). How bitter would we have been as Spurs fans if at (what turned out to be) 1-1 in any final the ref did not send off the central defender when he should have.Bit of a game changer I'd say.
Also what may not have been picked up by the TV was the frequent play acting of the Bayern players which was not acted upon and each time caused Dortmund to cease their build up sometimes when in a promising position and potentially stopping a counter attack. Each time the Bayern player sprung back up within 15 seconds, only exception being Boateng's genuine injury towards the end of the game.
It's funny how being there gives you a different perception, but I still say the ref had a poor game and I won't repeat some of the understandably dejected Dortmund fans' comments on the tube ride home.
Anyone wondering, the Dortmund atmosphere is like that constantly at their home stadium... Puts most of the premiership big boys, jf not all epl teams to shame atmosphere wise. That explains it!
Have wanted to go to a game there for years but finances don't make it likely.Anyone wondering, the Dortmund atmosphere is like that constantly at their home stadium... Puts most of the premiership big boys, jf not all epl teams to shame atmosphere wise.
Is this because at Dortmund (and in the Ruhr in general) football is still the game of the 'working man'?Anyone wondering, the Dortmund atmosphere is like that constantly at their home stadium... Puts most of the premiership big boys, jf not all epl teams to shame atmosphere wise.
Well there is no competition for support really, i mean there isn't a second sport like rugby to compete with for example like with wigan or leicester...Is this because at Dortmund (and in the Ruhr in general) football is still the game of the 'working man'?
Dortmund needed to score during the period they were on top... It was only a matter of time before Bayern got their game together.Refs favouring the more traditional 'big club' again - Ribery and Dante should have been sent off. Ribery's overall behaviour was pretty poor, not a likeable fella on the pitch at all.
Overall though Bayern looked the better team and deserved to win even though they did get a few breaks.

We all complain if a red card ruins a game, but i do think the ref wasnt really doing well. Still he did at least give the penalty... But other than that i would say it wasn't great officials wise.

i know its soooo bandwagon-y, but i think im a dortmund fan
Everyone who I've spoken to about the match in England has said the same thing. Glory hunters the lot of you!
Tod und hass dem BVB

But when have you ever seen a player cautioned for exaggerating an injury, or staying on the deck longer than the injury required ? I agree about the penalty incident, he should have got a second yellow, pure and simple, but I also think 80% of refs would probably have done the same.
The truth is, and I am a huge Dortmund admirer, so say this with a heavy heart, Bayern were the better team over the piece.
hah! if we were true glory hunters wed choose bayern/chelsea/madrid
in any case, there are many similarities between bvb and spurs. Sleeping giant competing with the big rich oil clubs in a respectable manner with a young passionate manager and players
