I've been watching as many games as I can as I still see something in him (Being Irish and Spurs perhaps I have my lilywhite tinted glasses on). He's been short on confidence for the last few months and I've seen him pass up an odd chance every game lately. Linking play and dropping out left and right to try and make space for others to get the chances that he seemed not to have the confidence to take. They seem to love him in MK even though he hasn't been scoring. He's been a touch of class in games and to paraphrase one fan "he must have shares in the club he works so hard". I'm hoping tonight's performance in a turning point for him from a confidence perspective. Interviewed after the game he said that the 2nd goal he didn't even think about it and that's what he's been missing. Big game against Wigan this weekend for his side and if he were to follow tonight's efforts up with another goal it would be massive for him.

Has he been playing down the middle ?

Just seen goals. Top quality finishes Harry would have been proud of. I really do think the quality is there just needs the confidence and keep growing. Still not convinced he’s an out and out striker but no bad thing he’s pretty versatile.

Normally starts right or left but they interchange. I think it may have been more about finding a place for him in the side though as he wasn't scoring and seemed to be losing confidence. At least if he wasn't central then the onus wasn't on him to score and he was worth persevering with for his general all around play. That's just my take of course. He's just turned 20 last month and he's still finding his feet. The quality of football isn't generally great in L1 but MK Dons try to play a bit. I think it's a great learning experience for him and he hasn't been found wanting physically. If he takes confidence from this week then he'll be in the headlines much more by season's end.

That Scott Twine does seem to have something about him too btw. Worth keeping an eye on.

I must admit I haven't taken much notice of his loan although I was quite excited at his potential.

Two things worried me though. Injuries and pace. How's he getting on? ?

Thank you for the feedback.

Do you have the belief he could be Kane's understudy next season?

Perhaps a season or two too early for him. Probably needs a championship loan first and to be playing football every week. I think, like a lot of strikers, he's a confidence player and I think being on the periphery of the Irish team hasn't helped him. To my mind he has a higher ceiling than Connolly or Idah but he's been left on the bench for international games and that may have been a reason for his loss of form/confidence this season. There's no doubt he works his nuts off. No doubt he's got talent but not sure that without regular football he'll be in the right frame to come on for 5 mins at the end of games and play with the "2nd" team in cup games etc. Maybe if he has a good summer and comes in for pre-season firing on all cylinders but I think we may need someone with that bit of experience who would accept his role as Kane cover. Rightly or wrongly, Harry has a lot of power at our club. If Harry stays then it's to break records and play every available minute. It's not an easy task for a cover striker and definitely not for someone who's just turned 21 and should be Ireland's #9.

Looks like he's taken to the physical side of the game quite well. His hold-up play is much improved and his footwork looks really impressive even on some of the less than stellar pitches he's played on.
