Just finished watching the game. Andros was one of the brightest lights on the pitch not only for Leeds - he made some the gooners twirl with his skills. I'm telling you we have some bright talent coming through - Caulker, Townsend, Carroll, Livermore - could we have the next United-style champions?

Very impressed with the lad and disappointed he lost but when Henry came on you knew it wasn't going to end 0-0.

He wasn't amazing tonight, but I think he'll have a good 5 months there. Now that he's had a chance to play against a Championship team I think he'll start to come in to his own...

The lads got something about his.
Enthusiastic, energetic, looks for the ball - but could do with improving his decision making.

Bang on. I thought he was overdoing it a bit. At times he was trying to take on the goons single handed. But he is still learning the trade and he still showed that he has the potential to make it.

I thought he was poor, in all honesty. This is why I was against the idea of people wanting to put him straight into the team in games like the one against Norwich away and Swansea away when everyone was calling for players to be rested.

Although, I will say I think this was a tricky game for him to shine in. The whole match was lacking any real quality and Leeds as a whole looked pretty poor, I do think many players would have struggled to make an impact. So this game may not have a direct reflection on what I think of him as a player but he has a lot to learn. The good thing is that he has some useful tools in his locker but he just needs to know when and how to use them better which he hopefully will do with experience.

he was leeds only optaion bar Becchio. so when he had the ball, there were few options for him. He should for that reason have been easy to mark. However I dont think he was, I thought he had a good game

He kept the ball for far too long - kept running down blind alleys with no option to offload. It's been the same when getting a game in the Europa - his decision making is poor at the moment.

He reminds me of Aaron Lennon early on when we signed him. Really quick and tricky on the ball, flashes of excitement, but just needs to calm down a bit at times and get his head up.

It's as if these really quick players are a bit too quick for their own good so early on in their careers. It's like "ooh look at me go, fuck me i'm fast, ah shit into the advertising boards I go"

Hard game to judge him on in a team that was inferior in pretty much every way to their opponents.

It must be remembered that he was picking up the ball very deep, in his own half mostly, and had very few options available. This obviously wasn't his fault as Leeds mostly conceeded territory and the ball against superior opposition - when they did clear their lines they were on the edge of their own box mostly and Andros wasn't far away quite rightly.

It would've been more interesting to see him isolated against a fullback but it wasn't his fault that never happened. He has a trick and 2 decent feet and is pretty quick. He did people a couple of times with good pace and he's pretty sharp. He's still young and he's still learning but he has a chance if he keeps progressing - he certainly impressed me more than I was expecting but he's got a way to go.

This is what I was going to say.

Could see he really wanted to do well but it just wasn't coming off for him.

Booking was understandable if stupid. The linesman is a blind **** and needs putting down.

Hard for him to do anything but hold onto the ball though, Leeds had virtually nothing upfront until Forsell I think came on and he set him up with a chance.

seemed to have little purpose to what he was doing, and it (moreso on the right) took in into heavy traffic, appeared to be trying to impress too much, and once on a dribble very head down.

Clearly Leeds best player tonight....managed to hold the ball or decent periods of time that at least got an under pressure Leeds side up towards the half way line. Problem was Arsenal realised that he was the oppositions main outlet and double teamed him. It would have been difficult for anyone to do what Townsend did tonight especially as the club bus and staff cars were largely parked 30 yards out throughout. The lad may help Leeds get out of the Championship which is their main goal this season.

Aaron's got the be quicker, no? I thought he was good in the first half - didn't see the second. The two things he's really got that's making me optimistic is his first touch and his delivery. And this is complete opposite of early Lennon. He's got a few assists and goals this season as when he gets in position he normally does the right thing, and very well too. His issue is getting into position and both for us and partly last night it's a bit too much getting the ball and then just running, dribbling, hoping for the best without really having a plan.

If he stops all the trickery when not needed, learns to get in position for a through ball or just one man to beat and gets his head up he's got the ability IMO to be a great player. But a lot of players have that ability without making it. From what I've seen the one with the greatest potential of the kids. Livermore's already an ok Premiership midfielder but I cannot see him really becoming great. Townsend though can. Long way to go, but he can.

I thought he was awful last night. No end product at all, just had a couple of good sprints which led to very little.

Agreed. I think people are looking at the performance with Spurs tinted glasses on, to be honest. Like I said before, I don't think it was an easy game for him to shine in, in respect to him but in no way did I think he had a good game, at all.
