I don't mind us playing this diamond shape as long as we're fluid and can switch between that and playing 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1... it requires the full backs to dominate the wide areas, and whilst Rose can certainly do that, not sure about Foyth (yet)

So RM going in with no DM and 4 attackers, and supposedly well off the pace physically. Could be a high scoring game! Good test for our defence, but I fancy us to dominate that XI.

Considering the lack of Dier, Wanyama, Davies, Aurier, that’s a very strong main 18 (assuming the bench would be along the lines of Lloris, KWP, Sanchez, Sissoko, Skipp, Dele, Lucas).

As for the formation, I don’t think it’s as set in stone as people think. Eriksen, wherever he plays, will roam freely to where he’s needed between midfield and attack. Son, Kane and Lamela will all drift wide and drop deep as the play dictates. I think it’s far more about balance of styles than positions, and I’d suggest that this lineup gets that right. When you think that both Dele and Lucas could realistically come on for any of 4 different players, it reinforces this.

Originally when he took 50, RM said it was in honor of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. I don't think that is the real reason...

Foyth and Son are suspended unfortunately, so it'll probably be KWP and Moura for Foyth and Son. Dele/Lamela will be a toss up unless Eriksen has left.
