Having Naughton Dawson and Capoue in defence after spending £110m in the summer is a complete joke.

It's not like we don't have other defenders, they're just injured. Obviously Kaboul, Verts, Chiriches and Rose would be in there ahead of them if they were fit. Horses for causes, but unfortunately our horses are lame.

I used to think the days of Vega and Doherty were behind us. Naughton has probably had the worst game I've seen a spurs player have. He actually just kicked a ball out of play with no one near him.

To be fair we replaced Caulker with Vlad. We can't really have five senior centre backs, we're just cursed as always to have three of them injured at the same time.

I think this is a perfect example of AVB's shortcoming. Arrogance to point that even when injuries force him to change tactically, he refuses to. He has many qualities that a world class manager needs. All of which are compromised by his inability to be flexable with the teams style of play.
