Wow, that’s bleak!

I’m not living on the past - I’ve just seen enough of these types of games/seasons to know that it can all change very quickly. I’m just looking forward to next season, hoping we’ll have our shit together.
So am I buddy. I think with a progressive manager things will look brighter

I fail to see the logic of firing Mourinho days before a cup final when we had no replacement lined up. The only possible explanation is that they wanted him gone, and were actually afraid he would WIN the game and make kicking him out a little more awkward. That is scandalous.

I fail to see the logic of firing Conte 10 games before the end of this season rather than let him see out his contract, just because he had the audacity to call out this bunch of players. It's embarrasing that the club ran to protect the precious players from the nasty man who called them names. When you see the absolute dross we have served up since he left, it is a miracle that he kept this squad in the top 4 for most of his tenure. Wouldn't it have been interesting if we had actually backed him properly, given him the time he was clearly willing to spend?

The football was horrible at times, I get that, but it was great at the end of last season. They are both defensive managers working with defenders who simply cannot defend. What the hell are they supposed to do with that situation? Conte couldn't have had a more difficult season personally, and then losing a key player like Bentancur really turned the tide against him. How different might things have been if we had actually brought in the CB he needed and demanded. The money wasted on Spence and Danjuma could have gone a good way to fund that.

I like Slot, he is one of many good canditates out there, but let's not kid ourselves, we've just thrown away European football having tossed aside two great managers who would certainly have secured it for us. Both are defensive and pragmatic, true, but perhaps we are seeing that this really was the only way with a squad that is simply way below the competition. It doesn't matter who we bring in, this squad needs a complete overhaul and this club needs a complete overhaul in how it is run, from top to bottom. I won't hold my breath

Disappointing result. But there were still some positives to come from the game.

1. Bissouma played well at times - albeit lacked match fitness. That is something to build on for next season. Much more versatile than Hojbjerg.

2. Davies struggled at LB - that is actually good to know now, so it can be addressed in the summer. Too many people thought he could play LB. He can't do it on a regular basis at the level we need.

3. Sanchez looked acceptable, not great - that should help as we try to sell him this summer.

4. Kulusevski looked decent in a more central role - that could be his future if we stick to a 4231-type of line-up.

It's been a shit season going all the back to last fall when we had so many key injuries. The season is mercifully coming to an end, and we don't need to look back. Get a new manager in, forget this season, and get ready to go again next year. Lots of work to do over the summer - but the sooner we close the chapter on this season, the better.

Disagree. When chasing a game, you play to win, no room for sentiment.

With us being 2-1 down you bring on your best wether or not you have a good season or not. Moura isn’t our best simple as. You would rather a L or a W next to that game?
Sentimental facts don’t apply in a game unless you are 3-0 up. Win or lose that’s all that matters

Wow. We got some stone cold dudes in the fanbase. While I respect your views, I wholeheartedly disagree, especially in a game of this importance.

Any manager, caretaker or not could have given one of our kid's a run out at 1-3 down such s Craig or Sarr.

But no, that Muppet brings on a one game wonder to do a lap of honour, a jog, a look at me end of season jaunt.

This is the very reason Mason should be relegated to managing the kids.

At Hull City where the damage he causes won't be critical.

The concern I have is the last few years have severely pissed off this fan base, almost broken it in my opinion. Whoever we bring in is going to need serious patience and a lot of time. I remain unconvinced that if we were 8th, 9th at Xmas because we’re in rebuild mode that the fan base won’t be kicking off again making Levy take the easy distraction option and sacking another manager.

You play to win or you play to lose.
Don’t get on the sentimental bandwagon. He’s been a great servant I know that but you want to win you play your best not play people because they are leaving at the end of the year

I thought bringing on Moura for his farewell
was a lovely gesture.
I can think of a more suitable one.

We will always have Ajax.

You're acting like he's a fan who won a competition. He's still a footballer who represented our club this season.

Anyway I'm curious, what would you have done to win? Who would you have subbed on instead? I didn't see Messi on the bench, so who would have won us that game?
