I never think you get a good performance off Eriksen in this formation, for me hes better when hes playing more off the left or as a 10, stuck somewhere between an 8 and a 10 with 2 up top and always seems to struggle, not that in itself is an excuse

Rose is having a poor game. I'd be so tempted to have him off at half time and put Vertonghen at left back.

He's quite simply not up to scratch. I know he played one good pass but the indications are that is he is not going to get any better as a player. A modern wing back needs to be able to beat a man, cross and preferably be able to shoot. Having Rose on corners is also a joke. He's a bit pacier than the steady but not god enough Davies but that's it.

The commentators on BT, and many on here, have bagged literally every single one of our players (some deservedly) for our attacking ills, yet haven't had the bollocks to address the elephant in the room - the Harry Kane sized hole up front.

He's put one (deflected) pass in behind just then, he's headed one offside goal, great stuff. Apart from that I'm sorry, but he's doing nothing. He's not holding the ball up, he's not offering himself, he's not running channels, he's not in the box at the right time making a run for his wide man, his touch is off, he's making poor choices when he does see the ball (such as before the goal). It's a shell of the great man and we badly need him to get firing in the second half, as we did last weekend, as we did midweek, we need more.

It hasn't been a great half all round, but if you have no focal point then how do you build a platform in the final third?
