I’m all about buying one of the penthouses on the 30th floor and flying a huge Levy/ENIC out banner from it every home game
Crowdfund the value of the penthouse and the flag!I’m all about buying one of the penthouses on the 30th floor and flying a huge Levy/ENIC out banner from it every home game
I don’t get the appeal of having a hotel or luxury apartment in Tottenham.A penthouse on tottenham highstreet sounds very appealing
Have you seen the prices of hotels in central London lately? You’d be lucky to find anything half decent for less than £200 per night and that’s assuming there’s not a major sporting or other event on.I don’t get the appeal of having a hotel or luxury apartment in Tottenham.
Any football tourist would take the train to central London.
The business objective in opening the hotel will be to attract more business conferences. The stadium has the capacity to host events of all sizes but is being held back by its distance from central London. Why hold a conference at the stadium when all the attendees have to trek from and back to central London? But add a hotel and conference attendees can spend one or more days and nights at an event. The conference business at the stadium can take off.I don’t get the appeal of having a hotel or luxury apartment in Tottenham.

10/15 years time when it’s completely gentrified, it might well beA penthouse on tottenham highstreet sounds very appealing
Why sadly? I think Levy has done a great job with our finances. We’ve had some great transfer windows where other clubs could not spend and we‘ve not even sold the stadium rights yet. The stadium seems to be generating a fair bit of money and by all accounts we will spend again in the next transfer window without fair of breaching FFP.I don't know what the accounting-based value of the club is, but Levy's valuation of it will range somewhere between "ludicrous" and "absurd". That's why all the earlier takeover talks have (sadly) come to nothing...
That's good, undervaluing us would do us a lot of damage.I don't know what the accounting-based value of the club is, but Levy's valuation of it will range somewhere between "ludicrous" and "absurd". That's why all the earlier takeover talks have (sadly) come to nothing...
How do you know this, were you part of any talks? There are myriad moving parts in business purchase negotiations, and any prospective buyer will know what the seller is asking for prior to opening the conversation. But hey, if that's what you believe, so be it.I don't know what the accounting-based value of the club is, but Levy's valuation of it will range somewhere between "ludicrous" and "absurd". Not known, just made up. A baseless criticism of our chairman. How do you know this, were you part of any talks? I know and agree, but I struggle with lazy posts like that. If you're going to denigrate a successful person at least know what you're talking about from a position of knowledge! Not known, just made up. A baseless criticism of our chairman.
A common tactic for those in here that still hold a senseless hatred towards our chairman, that and a stubborn refusal to accept any good that he's done. Not known, just made up. A baseless criticism of our chairman.
I think it’s just an emotional reaction mate. Levy has made some terrible “football” decisions and some folks can’t seem to separate that from the financial/development decisions.I know and agree, but I struggle with lazy posts like that. I get DL has made some dreadful football/transfer decisions, and I agree with you, but I was pushing back against the statement that Levy overprices the club, and that has been the sole reason why any takeover/investment talks have come to nought.I think it’s just an emotional reaction mate. Levy has made some terrible “football” decisions and some folks can’t seem to separate that from the financial/development decisions.
Wasn't there talk of trying to increase the number of no football events from 15 a year up to 30. I believe one of the committments to getting that approved is showing how it would benefit the local economy of Tottenham and local businesses. And clearly the hotel will also try to sell to those attending games and concerts at the stadium.
That's my thinking these days, there's more chance that a new owner will fuck things up rather than keep up the growth that Levy has managed. What can a new owner do at this stage? Maybe up commercial revenue some more and maintain the training ground etc without adding more debt but eh. The UEFA 70% rules means they're not going to come in and spaff a billion quid in one go like the doped clubs were previously able to anyway.
