There's nothing we can do about it as fans if it happens, but my hope would be when/if we're bought it's someone not tied to oil or slave labour, and has a track record of successfully investing in another sport. If that's not the case, can't see any scenario that is better than how things currently are at the club.

He has his faults, but I'd currently much rather Levy than any other ownership group in the prem other than maybe Villa.

I would still worry about JL being in charge of footballing matters. Can only hope he doesn't revert to type and try to buy players just because of their transfer fee and not whether they fit our system of play. Hopefully Ange will continue to OK transfers as he appears to have that now.

Are you getting east and west mixed up , High Road West project is a mainly a Haringey Council Project , THFC do own some properties the largest being the Goods Yard north of WHL.

The Club own the Stadium, the undeveloped land to the South of the Stadium and the Northumberland Terrace properties.

All other properties properties are in the ownership of TH Property Ltd which is domiciled in The Bahamas. Some of the properties in the High Road West area have partly been divested to a development partner.

New owners can't just come in and spend big; those days are gone.

So, what do people want from potential new owners? What would they bring to the table? I am curious to see how this plays out.
My guess, if it's true, is about
1) boosting the non-stadium revenue - commercial revenue elsewhere i.e. Asia
2) an agreement on the naming rights for the stadium itself

but sold most of its holdings on the east side of the High Street (between the High Street and Railway station) to ENIC to help fund the stadium construction.

It was more the statement above that was confusing, the railway station is on the west side of the High Road
Yes the properties are split between various Tottenham companies , but ultimately if you trace persons with significant control of all those companies it all leads to Tottenham Hotspur Ltd and the persons with significant control of that are two solicitors/lawyers in the Bahamas.

The hope will be about ambition to win titles. We have ffp wiggle room so we can spend good money. The key is that recent improvement in our recruitment should mean we spend big money more wisely. We just need to identify players who are a good fit and the best talent we can find for a position and be ruthless. We still very much fall short on pushing the boat out. We should have signed Tapsoba and VdV as an example and left ourselves short until January. That could be the difference between challenging for top 4 or the title. Selling Kane was another massive one that has set us back, or more so not replacing him with another world class forward. These kind of things still set us back. We may feel we're on the right track now but we're still only 5th with lots of work to do. Besides we were on track under Poch for a few years before it went downhill. Whether it's with new owners or the current ones we are close to pushing for something big, one more big summer and we could be title contenders. Lose site and we start to decline again losing Son down the line and drifting back down.

See my post above.

Tottenham Hotspur Limited is the sole owner of TH Property Limited
TH Property Ltd (Bahamas based) and Tottenham Hotspur Property Company (UK Based and owned by Tottenham Hotspur Ltd) are different companies although the ultimate parent company of both is ENIC Sports & Development Holdings Ltd.

I’d be thinking Sheik Jassim. I can’t believe his interest in the EPL was limited to Manchester.

Any idea how THFC can make an appeal on a planning issue if the land is not in their name but of a Bahamas Company.

If you are not the freeholder then you must notify the owner/s of the freehold that you are making a planning application and show evidence of this to the Local Planning Authority. Failure to do so makes the application invalid (aka can't be determined).

We can absolutely spend big.
TBH I'm more worried about them spending 'right' rather than 'big'. But investment in proper quality is paramount. We need players fighting for positions in training and in games. We don't want to see a drop in quality from the bench and we need to be able to freshen things up. As fans we also need to get over 'but when would he start?' and 'that would unsettle [insert current first team player name]'.

City can make 6 changes each game with not much drop off in quality. That is where the top teams try to get to. Will take some time to get anywhere near that.
Arsenal are nowhere near that level. Lucky with injuries last season and this.

Was he definitely real then? Always seemed like a fake person
Honestly something was very odd about that whole thing, Glazers saying they never even met him and all the stories about fake bids etc. Obv there is probably a lot of press spin going on from both sides but ether way there something rather dodgy about his/their interest in Utd.

So Man Utd sold 25% to Radcliffe for £1.25b valuing the club at £5B including £600m of dead debt (as in nothing to show for that money)

so how much would spurs be worth with £800m debt but an money making infrastructure. You’re probably taking £3.5b. So would you sell 25% of the club to clear that £800m stadium debt and clear the monthly/annual payments?

I think I would, Daniel might think differently
Businessmen are happy to live with debt. If they sell a percentage it will go in their pockets.
That debt has a long way to go before they need to do anything. Just renegotiate it anyway.

They can pay down the stadium debt so all those repayments go on the team.

Whilst also being a little less frugal with our wage to turnover ratio, and sell to buy policy.

We don't need a sugar daddy, just more investment to follow our own model at a higher level.

Which should mean buying Dragusin last August without needing to sell Sanchez first and costing us points.

Or attacking the holes in squad depth a little more aggressively last summer without being hindered by sales.

Anyone can make a planning application, regardless of who owns the land or buildings concerned.
So in any takeover ENIC could sell the club but hold on to the properties in the TH name but would there be any point.
The club has put it's name to Goods Yard etc , would a prospective buyer want the property portfolio unless Tottenham suddenly becomes the Mayfair of North London :)
