You never know with the former but I'd be stunned with the latter.
Yeah from reports it sounds like Joe was just tossing some crumbs down to the peasants with these tips, I'd also be stunned if Levy was in any way involved.

I really don’t get the theory of we’re in some form of takeover talks so transfer business has been put on hold.
What’s it going to achieve?
Let’s say we started picking up business again next week which is expected, what was the point of the blank two weeks?
We have to at some point start business again in this window so why put ourselves back for the sake of a couple of weeks negotiations?

I really can’t see the lack of transfers being because of takeover talks at all.

Man Utd are still going about their business irrespective of what is going on behind the scenes there and the mess there. It is just another excuse for not pushing through on any transfer business.

Yes it is bollocks. Normal operations are not put on hold just because there may be an acquisition. If this was a real thing clubs would use this against each other all the time.

If there was an imminent sale (I am talking days away from closing) it might be different but the club has valued itself in the 3-6 billion range and in of a deal of that scope in an industry like football there is no chance there would not be wall to wall press coverage, there would simply be too many people involved to be able to keep it quiet.

Man U have a proper internal management regime, not one man who has his fingers in every pie ,we dont have any such structure at Spurs. Where is our next DOF and where is Munn?

Within the current regime everything we do appears to be laboured and drawn-out, where opportunities maybe missed.
