Surely any takeover would be months away and not have any affect on this upcoming season unless work has gone on in the background we are not aware of.
Hell look at Man U takeover process and how long its taking. If there was a full takeover I would expect that to take 12+ months. If it's an investment or minority stake it could probably be much quicker (still not this summer I'd expect)

We are the most obvious team in the league to buy or invest in, if you ask me. The only thing that has prevented it from happening is the price.
Hell even at the price, its a better buy than United from a pure numbers stsndpoint. The prospective investors in Utd now are apparently looking at that £10bn+ number as their get out number. But you spend 5-6bn on the club, spend a further 1-2bn on badly needed infrastructure improvements at both Old Trafford & Carrington & then new players. Doesnt leave much meat. Whereas at Spurs, the infrastructure is there already. All it needs is the furniture, so to speak. You get more profit when you sell. The only think you dont have is the brand recognition but that can be built up just as United’s was over time. We are a sleeping giant. Mark Goldbridge is, stunningly, spot on in that assessment.

Dubious twitter sources suggest its an investment from a well known company - would tie in with recent Tottenham announcements (non-player related).

The United takeover is taking so long because the Glazers don't really want to sell. If you have a willing buyer and a willing seller it will happen much quicker. Still won't happen over night though.

I'm not going into detail of what I've heard because something is going on but what that is isn't exactly clear. it may come to nothing, but as I said originally it might be worth keeping an eye on the situation.

This could not be more wrong from a financial/investment perspective.

Was it not the Glazers who started the process in the first place. I know there is reported differences between different Glazer family members but seems odd to throw on the market if you don’t want out. Is it just a case of if the offer is too good to turn down.

Are you for real? :dummy: The guy is currently destroying twitter with his incompetence and acts like a spoilt 12 year old. I wouldn't want him ANYWHERE near our club.
Elon Musk has a lot of faults but he is also a genius and a visionary. The man has made rockets that can be re used and his company is used by NASA now for their own space launches. He has made electric vehicles desirable and whatever his motives with twitter won't become clear for a while yet but tbh I just think he doesn't really care about the money and sometimes just likes to disrupt and change things and clearly hated twitter as it was just like a lot of people do. Probably not a good fit for our club but he is very far from incompetent.

I don't think we'll know if he's destroying twitter until he finishes what he's started. Guy is extremely strange but he is incredibly successful and clearly has a brain.

Would never happen, but still - having Elon as the owner would be fucking awesome IMO.
You really want the owner of our club to be on social media everyday offering to fight xyz person (Arteta fine), talking about his dick, and just using us to expand his profile rather than do right by the club. No ta. Elon can fuck right off. He's fucking Twitter up, he'll fuck us up. Needs to sit on his own rocket and pop off to space.

Disgusting guy. He would make his face front and center of everything we do. He’s an odious character.
