Don't like the sound of this at all. For 'Investment Fund' read 'Venture Capitalists'. They'll apparently chuck some money in although it says they'll land us with an extra 750m debt (so guess where the investment comes from), and then they'll want it all back out and a whole lot more. We'd still be competing with clubs who's owners have money gushing out of the ground and don't give a flying fuck about returns on their money or investment opportunities. At best this is a sideways step but many seem happy with any old port in a storm.
:sigh:

I have a nasty feeling that some of you who want a takeover etc will regret gagging for ENIC out. I am not saying ENIC are smelling of roses but its more a case of not trusting potential investors and owners.

Paul O’Keefe said a few hours ago that the price would be 4billion minimum, not sure if that’s his opinion or if that’s what he’s been told.

I can categorically tell you we are/were involved with QSI heavily. I can also tell you that someone is being very diplomatic with the truth.
So with this mate and the fact that your earlier post says today's story is all true things are certainly hotting up on this front.

Looking forward to us signing Mbappe already! ;)

That piece on Sky sounded very much like it was a brief

"Pay up or go home"

It seems these people are serious or I dont think the club would be denying they are for sale

Not for sale according to Sky Sports
Now all you good little minions go over to sky bet and place some money it. Then we’ll provide a new angle later for you to bet on.

Worst comes to the worst someone will buy the club, make a mess of it, and then someone else will buy it. The PL is too big now for a club to really get in serious trouble. I’d take gambling rather than the current status quo. I’m just sick of Levy and and his tiresome ways.

Right.

So lets stick with ENIC for eternity and watch every PL club get faken over by ambitious owners?

I want ENIC gone but they have spent on transfers. Whether they are the right transfers is another issue and whether the wages we offer for the elite players is enough

"According to the CIES Football Observatory, Spurs' net transfer spend of £424m over the past five seasons is the fourth highest in the world, behind Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal"

Fair play for avoiding (deliberately I suspect) the usual soundbites on this and you do have a point........BUT............If Levy were to sell to anyone, that risk is there. Wether we as fans want it or not, that risk is there. Obviously there will always be that doubt or risk, no matter who, no matter when, that is a chance that will eventually be taken by Levy regardless of our 'wants'.

Given the well documented problems with them here on SC, it's hardly surprising that any 'risk' is one a lot of people might be willing to take. Wether that proves to be a good thing or not, well, nobody knows.

And one final point on this. If new owners are seen to be taking a chance or risky, then the chance that they'll actually prove to be 'better' at the football side is surely at least equal to that. All we can do is see how it plays out really.
