A very interesting point was made on the Price of Football podcast regarding ownership of clubs in the Champions League. Take the case of RB Leipzig and RB Salzburg... both owned by Red Bull. Both playing in the CL and both cleared by UEFA to do so...

Some people hate him but I personally really rate Simon Jordan, he goes off on his high horse with things but when he finds out the truth or facts he’s very quick to change his views. He dropped a few hints there and the “something bigger than a takeover” and “Joe Lewis swan song” is very interesting. Not going to put stupid I think this will happen comments out there as I don’t have a clue but anyone who listens to Simon daily will agree he’s speaking with some “I know something you don’t know knowledge” there.

Well, it was said the other day that they want to dispose of a percentage of PSG within the first two quarters of this year. So they are obviously moving things along with that.

At one point you can see Lewis wanting to cash in on his investment. It's not like he is following us round home and away.

Maybe he sells 30 odd percent , Levy has his 30% , and Lewis has the rest plus an amount of money god knows how much more than he put in. He then can become a totally silent investor and let Levy and whoever buys it run the club?

I feel like a terrible person, because I’d be happy if this happened. For forty years I’ve wanted us to have the same financial clout as the biggest teams. And then Roman came along, then the UAE at City and then the Saudis at Newcastle. While we have Danny and his shenanigans in the transfer market. I just want to see us win something. Three trophies since 1984. Two League Cups and one FA Cup!

I am all too aware of sportswashing and lord knows I bitched and moaned about the Newcastle take over. But if QSI want to take over a portion of the club and want to give us an actual chest with money and give it and the key to Paratici (with an anti Levy security measure), that would be awesome. I’d love it. And I truly do feel two faced about it.
