Matterface isn’t wrong. The ownership structure is going to change. That’s no secret. Lewis has already stepped away, it’s in a family trust and one can assume when he dies the controlling interest will move to someone else, possibly in his family or possibly not.
That aspect is probably not true. It’s in a trust so there are no changes necessary on his death.

I got sucked in last time and started to dream of what ifs. I can't see anything happening any time soon so won't get carried away for once or believe it till it happens.

Unless it's a petro-state I am going to have a hard time being immediately excited about the new owner. Need to research. Boehly was easy to see would spend money (he did with LA Dodgers) but not as ridiculous as he has.

Liberty's other pro team (Atlanta baseball) is VERY good and set up to be good for a very long time, but they aren't exactly splashing the cash. They're spending smartly.

Elon mate if you’re reading this, if you can give Kane a new contract and spend a bill or two on players I’ll happily delete my threads account

Bloke is an absolute head case, and seemingly can't run a company without making rash decisions on a weekly basis. Avoid at all costs. Not gonna be him though, thankfully.
That’s true*

*if you only look at Twitter and completely ignore all of the ridiculously successful companies he’s run/running.

Which are? He hates socialism but survives on subsidies. Man's a joker, who's mastered the cult of personality.

Walton-Penner Ownership Group would be interesting to keep an eye on. They purchased the Denver Broncos (NFL) in 2022 for 4.6bn dollars. The group itself is considered to be the wealthiest ownership in the NFL. If I am not mistaken, they were looking to diversify and bring more sports teams under their ownership. They are extraordinarily wealthy and influential. One of the primary stakeholders is Carrie Penner whose grandfather founded Walmart. She alone, is worth 5bn. The Walmart family is worth over 240bn.

Honestly I’ve never understood the hate of him, well I have an idea but people got all tetchy when I brought it up before.

Anyway, not the thread for it...just for the love of god please someone just buy Enic out.

they don't need to splash the cash because they locked their best players into super team friendly contracts before they broke out to be stars. Their best player should be making 30-40mil a year but is stuck at 10mil-15 per year through the next 6 years.

I am aware. And it works when you hit on those deals.
