Tottenham have rejected the latest offer from Bayern Munich for Harry Kane. The clubs held talks in London last week, only to remain around £25million ($32m; €29.2m) apart in their valuation of the England captain.

Let's hope they walk away. I'd love Harry to stay for another season. IF he leaves on a free next summer he will have given incredible services and lots of great memories, and has earned his move....... and he might just stay 🙏

Wow, very surprised by this if it is correct.

I'm confused... All of last week it was all pretty much nailed on that he was going yet here we are in a new week and looks like he's staying!

Clearly realisation kicked in for him yesterday in that he needs to stay and be part of the new era!

I don't believe this saga is over. The media never stop. Want him to stay now and outscore Haaland.
It would be criminal if we don't match any offer he's given next season.

I don't think it changes anything, if Kane doesn't sign a new contract (even short term with a release clause) then the board will deem we have to sell

Watching him score 4 yesterday, there would be an enormous black hole if he left us now. He is irreplaceable.

We had to let go of both Modric and Bale, and Kane isn't really as great as either of those.

I understand not selling him before, when the club was in a better shape and position, but we have gone backwards from 4 or so years ago, and we're kinda starting again (at least, that's what I hope). I expect Daniel understands this is a good time to sale, there are really not much advantages in him staying for one more season; we're never going to give him any titles and vice-versa.

Good stuff. I hope he's with us in September. The speculation wont stop til the window closes, no matter what anyone says.

Levy put himself in a shitty situation here and will be hammered next season if Kane leaves for a PL team. But this is the right decision to get another year from him, and have more time to persuade him to sign on for longer.

I think he'll be gone once they add the extra £25 mil and I think they will pay it as they desperately want him and they have the money.

"He isn't as good as either Bale or Modric" What planet have you been living on? He's better than either of them! In fact he and Greavsie are the best two players this club has ever had. Plus he's given us 10 years of 20 or more goals every year with numerous assists longer than either Modric or Bale. Remember as soon as RM came calling they were off. If we can't win anything with what he has given this club then a rebuild or "starting again" as you put it will probably take us another 20 years. I expect him to leave this window but the only chance we have is with him not without him.

I didn't use the word good, I used the word great; there's a difference, you know? And I stand by what I said: Bale's 2012-2013 season is perhaps the best PL season ever from any player wearing the spurs shirt, whereas Modric playmaking abilities were kinda messi-like, which IMO would make him the greatest player we've ever had (let's not forget he ended up being awarded with the Ballon d'Or).

All three of this players, as amazing as they were, were also quite selfish against the club at one point or another. However, Kane's selfishness was the one which I think damaged us the most, quite possibly contributing a lot to us losing a CL final (though to be fair, we certainly wouldn't have even reached that final without his heroics at the group stage against PSV and Barca), so I really don't feel as emotionally attached to him as most fans, and I think that makes me see with a clearer head why it's time to let go of him.

They were great players with out a doubt but they couldn't get out the door quicker enough when RM came calling. Kane has stayed 10 years and given us everything and is entitled to try to win something at another club if he can't see it happening here after all he is nearly 31. Bale and Modric were at their peak and could have stayed and helped us win something but they chose to leave but Kane has stayed for most of his career and had no help so tell me who is the most loyal.
