Standard Sport understands that as well as using the lodge to house their own players, Spurs would host other clubs and national teams preparing for games in London.

I immediately thought NFL Players using our new ground that was mentioned a while back. There is no reason why we would let other prem teams stay with us.

I'm convinced our new stadium will be a ground share.

It is understood that, if the plans are approved, England could use the site before home fixtures, while Barcelona and AC Milan are thought to have expressed an interest in staying there when they prepare for European matches in London".

Interesting stuff.

This will strengthen our commitment to the local area and allay some supporters far-fetched fears that we would possibly move to Milton Keynes on a permanent basis. It (if it happens), is another piece of the admittedly slow jigsaw that will hopefully see us improve the quality of our academy, which I believe alongside the stadium is the key to a return to us being one of the very biggest clubs in England and Europe again. Yidhouse Forte I like to call it!

Register the name and then sell the rights to Levy for a bundle, and donate 10% to SC.

Interesting indeed. Be great to help European clubs prior to them playing, say, Arsenal or Chelscum.

Imagine all the rumours around the transfer window when we have all these players turning up at the lodge. I imagine BEN going into overdrive.

Should built the whole new ground/training ground at the M25 end of the A10.

Would be great to form links with other European clubs and see which of their players would be interested in a move - and no tapping up involved! :D

If any of our recent multi million pound purchases are anything to go by, then our new lodge will not improve the team.

Aren't there any lodges out there with proven premier league quality?

You've clearly never been to the new training ground. It's practically within walking distance of the A10-M25 junction.

Philip,

You must have misunderstood me, I was actually meaning that WHL should have been rebuilt out there on a site similar to the News International site with all the ancillary complexes and parking.

As for the area where the training ground IS located - I know it all very well, having attended St Ignatius College during the 1960's and unfortunately being made to do cross country all around the Capel Manor vicinity. At one time in the 1980's I practically had the stretch of the M25 between junction 25 & 24 (A10/Potters Bar) to myself in occcasions as it one of the few sections built early before the orbital was completed.

I know the back woods of Cattlegate and Crews Hill as well as anyone else and still shiver when passing the Crews Hill golf course which was the location of John White's death from lightning way back when.

Fair enough. The problem with putting the stadium there was simply public transport. There is none.
