The only reason I liked under armour was because we were the only English club with it. Now that Southampton and Villa have them I couldn't care less about keeping UA.

Beaides, Nike and Adidas are the premier sports brands in the world.

It's a toughie for me. Unique kits are all well and good, but unique has a habit of meaning unusual which tends to be divisive.

UA have been good overall and I like having a big and growing brand, however. Nike and Adidas have flagship stores in the major cities and shopping centres. You can't avoid Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid kits, but ours have always been difficult to find. For the casual observer, the bigger teams are associated with greater visibility. If every time you walk into a Nike store there's a Spurs kit stood next to the other big Nike clubs on the way in, we'll just enter people's sub conscious as a bigger team, which is especially important in the foreign markets etc. That kind of visibility has such huge long term value for building our presence and ultimately our support. For that reason I think Nike is a good thing.

This is absolutely true. Nike, Adidas, and Puma all not only sell these kits at all their locations, but even have huge advertisement posters on the outside of their outlets with their teams. Even in a not particularly football-keen region of the US, I remember seeing a massive image of Rooney plastered up on a Nike outlet. Nike outlets are everywhere, and it would be huge for the brand to have an image of Kane for instance in the same spot. I'm under no allusion of course that they're more likely to advertise Chelsea images in any given spot, but they will advertise and sell Spurs gear in so many locations, and that's huge for auxiliary income to the club. On an economic level, empirically speaking, this move is undeniably good for our club.

On a personal level, I'm also pleased with the move. For me, UA started out strong, but got a bit too experimental in their later years with us. They also couldn't seem to grasp that having all of white, blue, red, and yellow on one shirt is just such an eye sore of a color combination, as they repeated the offense on multiple occasions. Nike do well in making relatively simple, sleek kits that focus on the primary color(s) rather than bringing too much extra shit in. I may be a Yank, but there's no denying by anyone that the best Spurs kits of all time have been just that mentioned - simple, sleek, and focused on the primary color.

If anyone has any doubts about Nike's ability to make a nice looking Spurs kit, I'll refer them to France's kits at the 2014 WC. Spurs bias aside, I thought France were easily the best looking side in that tournament.

This year's and last year's home shirts were universally accepted as the nicest shirts in the league. Daily mail (I think) did a survey

That can't possibly be true about last seasons. The response on here was mixed at best. I personally thought it was OK but a lot of people thought the sash was unnecessary and ruined it

10 years? Thats a lot... makes you wonder if there is a stadium tie in?
Thats the trend nowadays so i wont be surprised. I'll still call it WHL though. The name is too nostalgic. Its not like the new venue is at a totally different location anyway. The South Stand and a chunk of the West and East stands will still be sitting on WHL. So they can call it whatever they want to, it'll still be WHL for me.

Well, personally I think that says more about the rest of the shirts in the league than it does our own...

You cannot actually like that white, yellow, blue, and red; there's just biologically no way.

Nike are fine, their kits are OK (no better than OK), but agree in terms of sales and profile they will likely be a step up, though on my travels have have seen UA gear worn everywhere and not just the states.

Personally I have thought Adidas make the nicest kits but never mind.

Shame, thought us and UA were a good match - 2 brash upstarts looking to gatecrash the top table and ruffle a few feathers on the way

Now we are just another thorough-bred in Nike's soccer stable, which can be a good thing or bad thing depending how you look at it

UA have branched out though with Soton and Villa....given we were the first English club to use them they were always going to attract other clubs in the process and make our relationship pretty ordinary

am I wrong in thinking Nike generally sell their products at a lower cost to what UA and spurs have been dishing out (mostly in terms of training gear/jackets etc.)

I for one am pumped about this deal. I have literally never seen a UA Spurs kit anywhere in a brick and mortar store here in the U.S., that won't be the case with Nike. Also, I live about 20 miles from Nike and half of my family works there so I will actually be able to afford some Spurs gear now.

This year's home kit is very nice I think but I was never a fan of last year's
