Tottenham and Everton step up interest in Adam Wharton

Tottenham are stepping up their interest in Blackburn midfielder Adam Wharton. Spurs scouts have regularly watched the 19-year-old in action – with Everton and Crystal Palace also keen on the highly-rated, top young player.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Tottenham recruitment chiefs feel Wharton is a potential star in the making.

I really like the look of Wharton. He reminds me of James Mcarthy, who we were heavily linked with when he was at Wigan and went on to start to become a fantastic CM for Everton, before missing the best part of 3 seasons which effectively ruining his career.
