Men's 100m Butterfly and Kristof Milak (HUN) sets an OR in the first semi, only for Dressel (USA) to beat it immediately after in the second semi.

Final tomorrow will be a must watch :)

I loved the Rio thread on here- it was buzzing and busy and a lot of fun. Maybe this one will pick up...
I think the time difference makes it a hard watch for Europeans even more so than Rio. All the swimming finals have been on in the morning in Tokyo/middle of the night here to cater to the American prime time audience (and as an aside the swimmers have been critical of having heats in the evening session and finals in the daytime session), the Athletics hasn't got going yet and tbh that's the feeling I get with the whole Olympics. It just hasn't got going for me at all.

Most of it being on Discovery network channels all over Europe doesn't help at all for the interest either. I wonder how bad the viewing figures are hit by that move.

Yeah not feeling this Olympics at all, mainly the time difference. Me and the Mrs watch a bit with our breakfast before work but only get around 10 minutes in before I have to leave. Then we watch a bit of the highlights in the evening but its just not the same, watched taped sports doesn't have the same enjoyment.

Having said that, I think it will pick up a little now the athletics have started.

Warholm vs Samba vs Benjamin will be a hell of a battle in the 400m hurdles. Probably the final event I'm most looking forward to.

I've mostly focused on the swimming. Fair play, the beeb have been putting the full sessions on the iPlayer, so I can watch it back in the morning. I never used that pop-out player before... its been a revelation for me while I work this week.

Next week I'll probably watch less... for some reason Athletics never grabs be.

The mixed triathlon relay is great. Definitely going to have to try and keep an eye on this event after the Olympics.

GB wins gold. Happy for Johnny Brownlee. Winning gold to complete the set and become the most medalled triathlete in Olympic history is one hell of a way to bow out.

One of the contenders for a medal in the women's 100 m has been suspended.

Another gold for Peaty in the 4x100 medley mixed relay.
Probably the most exciting race I've watched this Olympics, and I knew the result before.

I love the fact that you can match up women against men in the first leg, it leaves the whole race entirely open until the last leg has been swam(swum?).
