Newcastle's move for Hamburg's Atouba put in the balance

Newcastle's move for former Tottenham full back Thimothee Atouba was in the balance on Friday night after he was left out of Hamburg's squad this weekend.



According to Hamburg, Atouba had been set to have a medical at St James' Park, but instead turned up for training with his current side.
