Thomas Tuchel was reportedly in discussions for the managerial job at Tottenham before Bayern Munich beat them too it. The former Chelsea boss is approaching a return to football at the Bundesliga giants, who are set to announce the departure of Julian Nagelsmann on Friday.

Not sure how true this is about how close the talks were but I don't doubt we were talking to him, I hope would have anyway but you can't blame him for choosing the Bayern Munich job which let's face it for him is a no brainer.
