? I’m going to regret responding yet again.

Fine, you weren’t faulting Mason. We’re good.

Your attempt at wordplay was still childish and unpleasant.

We’re going in circles. I’m actually smiling about my team tonight for the first time in ages, I’ve humoured you too much already. No more,
Call me a pedant if you will, but stating that certain decisions made by Mason will not help him is surely finding fault in his decisions?

liked the formation and line-up. would've pulled TN at the half but at least he pulled him first. Lamela for GLo was puzzling as he was running the show at that point of the game.

I’m just really happy for the guy. Whatever his next job or experience is. Maybe he’ll do enough to get the job here, which means he’s smashed it the rest of the season. Whatever he does, this experience is crucial and is gonna help him for the rest of his coaching career. At such a young age too. Just really really happy.

That stat about us turning around a losing position says all you need to know about Jose.

Mason didn't do anything special tonight. But he had a positive impact at half time one way or another.

Why couldn't the 15m quid man do that?

I don't think anyone is saying Mason is the long term answer. But in 45 minutes he did what the 'serial winner' couldn't do in over a year.

Our own, homegrown, Nagelsmann? It's a lovely thought...

I am saying he is the long term answer.

Certainly in the short term.

or just playing Bale who scored a goal that probably nobody else would've scored and woke the team up.

You can imagine the half time talk under Jose. It would have been about how not to concede more goals. Keep it tight at the back and take any chances we get at the other end.

I liked the words 'brave' and taking 'risk' in Masons post match. It's going to take time for the players to get that positivity back in their game. Tonight was a fine start to that.

First time I’ve enjoyed watching a game for a while.
The lads looked hungry, pressing and organising. Loads to improve on but showed more attacking intent in the second half.
