I don't think that side is better than the current United side, which won't win the league.

No chance, not according to BC it has Huddlestone in it and no Jenas or Palacios.

The great man will not agree with you.

Infact i just wish Tottenham would get on with it and sack Harry and get the "Messiah" in charge.

Think of the league titles, CL league trophies FA CUPS we would win.

I wouldn't have Berbatov in that team by choice to be honest.. By choice, unrealistic I know, i'd have David Villa...

I think if we can get a top quality striker and top quality centre back for next season, we could challenge. But it wouldn't be better than the teams Utd and Chelsea have. They have also built up the winning mentality needed for champions aswell. We'd be up there though. It would pull us level with Arsenal, who I think we're close to now.

As for the part about being fit all season, that's just silly. It is all about having a great squad.

United are really relying on some very tired legs, an ageing goalie, and a manager who can't go on for ever.
Collapse could be iminent:grin:

Why Gallas and not Woodgate?

Shows how close we are though to becoming a fantastic team. We just need that spectacular striker. Cheeky January bid for Torres, perhaps? :p

I think there maybe a bit of substance in your comment. Over the next 12 to 18 months they will have to find top quality replacements for Van der Saar, Neville, Giggs, Scholes and Ferdinand.
For a club that is rumoured to be skint, this may prove very difficult indeed and the subsequent fall will commence.

I have United friends who were saying the same last season...and even welcoming it.

I was thinking in work the other day and came up with this. Not saying it'd be better or worse than what we normally play, just interesting to see if it would work.

Kinda a 3-4-3/3-5-1 with Kaboul and Bale as wing backs and Lennon and VDV cutting in either side of the front man.

Agree with the OP, that team would be right up there going toe to toe with Chelsea.

Corkula for Kaboul and Dawson for Gallas. Just personal preference mind.

Some good shouts for Adebayor (shudders and sicks in mouth slightly).

We have to improve our forward options.

Dzeko is quality but it has been pointed out that he may not be the best lone front man. Although maybe he just hasn't been tried there that much?
