If Liverpool lose midweek to Lyon, their season is pretty much over. Can't see them doing much in the FA Cup.

All my Liverpool mates were telling me during the game today how they were going to be ahead of us after this evening.

 :hump:

Them losing has cheered me up big time. :)

No goalless draws in either of the top 3 leagues in England, and 8 reds in the Premiership.

And we're still 4th!!

Not only Torres taken off at 1-1, but Benayoun taken off and Eccleston, a debutant kid, brought on at 2-1!

How can Rafa stay in the job? Oh, right, they can't afford to sack him. Luverly jubbly.

All the results went our way. Rather jammy, to be honest.

Sunderland apparently hammered the Spammers with Bent missing a shedload (Reid scored a lovely free kick, btw). Villa held, Pompey finally getting the result their form has deserved, Hull losing again. All good stuff.

Liverpool stands out though. Rafa's face walking off after the game was hilarious. He was bright red and looked on the verge of tears. Torres must actually be virtually dead for him to have to take him off. You'd imagine if Gerrard were fit, Torres would be out. Both sendings off were a little soft but down to both Pool players giving themselves no chance to get the ball. They've got no one to blame but themselves.

Except Rafa, obviously.

Anyone know who their next games are as with no Carra, Degen and Gerrard, plus half-a-Torres, it could be devastating for them.

Not so easy.

Man City to drop points against Brum tomorrow would be handy but a bit of a big wish.

I'm not too sad about losing today, I expected to lose, just not in the way we managed to lose, plus worse than that I have to take my Mrs & kids to a Halloween/Karaoke/Fireworks/BBQ party tonight and there will be a lot of grinning Goooners eejits giving me a lot a stick.
