We need more pace, flair and end product in attack. You'd hope that this supposed £45m mystery player has a bit of all three otherwise I don't see the point.

Suarez is seemingly a dodgy character to say the least, but from a purely footballing perspective he'd be great alongside Eriksen and Lamela behind Soldado. Can't see it though

Look I am glad he spent all the Bale money on transfers for sure, but until I see net new investment in transfers from EnIc I will be cynical - but upon reflection probably not the best place to discuss this

Don't see Arsenal getting Ozil. We had them camped in their own half for most of the match, surely any player that watched that today could see we are ahead of Arsenal. They pretty much played as the counter attacking away team.

For 42.5m, they`ve been fucking had if they do.

Why the fuck are people underestimating Ozil? The guy is an assist machine, hes better than any player we have in an attacking sense, he could walk into any team. Id fucking love to have him in our team but he is out of our reach. Id say he is out of Arseholes reach too, surprised Yanited arent in for him.

We arent breaking our record again, all i can see happening is a loan for a few of ours and maybe we get Coentrao on loan.

Oh, and Ozil, not sure he is what we need, and not bothered about if anyone else buys him.
Once our boys get a bit of rhythm going, it doesn't matter.

If Arsenal get Özil they will be stronger than us, first 11 wise. In terms of a full squad we have a lot more depth which will help over the course of the season, but we have young players and the team needs to gel together and learn AVB's system. We wont start to see what we're capable of until the second half of the season IMO whereas Arsenal only adding Özil would give them a headstart on us.

People here do realise we've just signed Lamela and Eriksen, right?
I doubt we need or are going to get another record signing this window, maybe a full back.
Andre on MOTD2 gave the impression that there would be outgoings but not more signings.

He is extremely overrated.

I don't think so, I don't hear a lot of people rave about him, to be honest. For Italy he's poor but for Milan he's good. He's very young and is going through a quiet phase after his goal glut at the beginning of last year. Most likely due to Mario coming in and being the main man. He does a lot of good work on the pitch though, I quite like him. I think he'd be too lightweight for this league though.

I don't know anyone with a 45m buyout clause, if someone did know this would be a great clue.
Looking at the list of most valuable players on transfermarkt.com, I can't imagine who we would bring in for this huge amount of money. Could we not invest the money wise, spreading it out a little bit? I guess we will find out tomorrow.
My best guess is Hulk. But my player knowledge is thin - never heard or seen these expensive players: Witsel, Marchisio or Hamsik.

Aguero would be nice if he isn't in Pelli's plans. Falcao would be jaw to the floor.

Michu would fit in well IMO to work with Soldado

I think the mystery player would have to have a release clause of around that figure because i remember other itk alluding to that. I want it to be a attacking midfielder/striker though, akin to van der vaart perhaps
