We will lost this lead the way we are playing now ... panic play and poor passing. RS needs to make a couple more subs to stop their possessional control against us

Well its a win and another 3 points and think that's 3rd place back .... but we need to get 2-3 better players in during the January window if possible if we want to push and stay in the top area

I missed the livestream of this one but was following on Twitter - it sounded stressful! We'll be at the game on Sunday this week coming though - so pleased we're third!
I can also relax, as I was Whamm'd this morning so I don't have to be on edge waiting for that song to be played over the tannoy. Phew.

Alex Morgan leaves Orlando Pride to join San Diego Wave where the ex Manure Manager Casey Stoney went
Hmm - guess she was not interested in coming back to us due to the cold wet winter we have over here
Our team need 2-3 high profile players now (January) as we have no quality on the bench anymore - hope Levy saves a few mill for RS and Paraciti can prise a couple of the women from Barca

Morgan coming over here was such a let down wasn't it, basically a glorified training camp. Does Paratici have a say in what the Women's team do?

Nope, it's all separate. Morgan coming over was unfortunate - got to see one game with her playing then lockdown happened and we couldn't go. We were always that in-between club to keep her fit for the 2020 Olympics though after the birth of her child. Sighh...

That is where it is wrong .. Mr P should also be in charge of player acquisition for the women's team - I think he was for Juventus.

Lets hope RS plays Tang and Simon against Coventry so they can try get some goal scoring practise tonight and not to change too many players ... the first choice squad still need more game time to continue gel-ing as there is still plenty of work to do with closing down and better cleaner passing let alone creating better chances in the last 3rd.
We have to stop this panic play and shoot whenever .. this is doing the team no good at all apart from losing possession

£30m deal. Can see it slowly slowly becoming a decent revenue stream for the club. Can see why the club push it so much in 20 years be like having 2 substantial club revenues under 1 umbrella.

I think a lot of that might trickle down to the Championship to help build that up as well. Another link! This time this article in SheKicks - I'm particularly impressed with the changes for women footballers in Spain if they get pregnant - their contracts are automatically extended for a year (as women's contracts are already so short) - given most contracts don't cover maternity leave. It makes me wonder where someone would stand in the Championship should they choose to have a baby... they're the majority of part-time contracts. And then there's Denmark - oh god, I hope we pick up some of these sensible policies, it's so important.

Very hard to judge last night's game from basically zero live comments but seems we dominated the first half and led 0-2 but it all went pearshape after too much tinkering at the beggining of the second half and they came back with 2 strikes. It seemed lucky that Williams came on late in the 2nd and got the wiinner 3 mins before the 90 and the hung on for the win.
Seemed we only needed a point to move on but could have easily lost this as once again poor decisions with the ball during and wasteful attempts on goal and defending got into our game, We cannot keep learning from this ... we should be stamping it out.

after just seeing the highlights on the THFC website it proves to me that we need to move on Spencer asap - she is clearly not good enough anymore and has become more of a liability when she plays.
She even failed under pressure in the dying moments after losing control of the ball which in the end was cleared off the line, I appreciate this happened to Korpella in a recent game and can happen but she was playing for her future selection and it didn't fair well at all. I may be somewhat harsh but I have felt that she should have been moved on 2-3 seasons ago and KH didn't have the bottle to do it. It is good we have Korpella who is by far a better keeper. Let's hope we can try to find a better backup soon.

this will be probably the biggest test to see how far RS has taken this team before the year ends ... are they worthy of the nosebleed position in the league or has it been more like luck? The goals scored point towards luck thus far and the lucky escape midweek shows we have so much more we need to do to improve in game play or we go look for better players in Jan (if possible).
Everton bar a recent loss to Manure have been on a run of 4 wins so this will be a good test to see if we deserve to be where we are. If we win then we will have reached the points gained last season (20) and it should reduce the risk of relegation big time .. if we lose then - hmm back to the drawing board for the second part of the season assuming Covid doesnt kill it short and then if it does we will be in the CL ! nursing that nosebleed - wishful thinking eh.

Relegation? They could lose all the rest of their games and they'd not be relegated. The bottom two won't get enough points from here.
I don't think the lofty position is due to luck; more a case of City underperforming and getting a result against United. Looking at the quality of the teams you'd think we'd be looking at challenging for fifth, but currently we have a chance of third. Makes for exciting times, I suppose.
The team seems to be fitter, puts together some good team passing moves and definitely looks as good as I've seen it. However, they never look like they are going to score many. They really don't have many players that strike the ball well. It kinda reminds me of watching a team full of Winksy's and Sissoko's.
It's not going to be easy to challenge the 'top 4' and I'd expect fifth at best this season. But, you never know....

Well after watching the first half Gary we just dont look like scoring do we? ... panic play yet again once we get anywhere near the goal area - zero creativity from the front players bar snap shots from distance and our passing is often too sloppy. Naz keeps being bundled off the ball and really isnt good enough to be even starting. Pace yes but doesnt do anthing with it. Thats why I say we need to move on these players for better if we want to challenge the top teams. They are making us look poor with their closing down tactics and as if we were playing away. Really can see us losing this game rather than a win. We just aint good enough where it matters. Where is Simon and why is'nt Tang playing when she is supposed to be one of the top strikers from China? - must be here for the shopping.
Hope we see better in the 2nd half but it looks like the bench is limited with skill.

Liverpool in the next Cup round ... this could be a banana skin game as they are top of the Chamionship and doing well ... guess the only positive is that we are at home. Just hope by then we have secured 2-3 more better players in.
