This thread is for players you think would be good additions etc, exactly the same as the previous incarnations of this thread.

We have a forum for Transfers, use it for discussion of that please, this isn't the place. If you see a (credible) link, we've also supplied a thread in the Transfer section for requests for player threads. So none of that "I Didn't know where to post this" bollocks. You're well catered for but you need to play the game :woot:

Let's see how we get on ;)

If we have a buy back clause for Dennis Cirkin I would like to bring him back to rotate with Udogie in the inverted Left back role. Home grown plus club trained for Europe.

kwp.

- home grown
- club trained
- great attitude
- likely to cost no more than 15m (one year left on contract)
- fits the profile of an ange full back and plays both sides to a high level

Not a bad idea. Found this about it

Cirkin was a highly rated by Tottenham when they allowed him to join Sunderland in 2021, so they opted to give themselves a safety net. They are able to trigger a buy-back for just £6million, but only until June 2024. After that date, the clause expires

Seems to have done well for them but haven't seen him play

In terms of new signings to start I hope we are looking at a DM, FWL, FWR and Centre Forward

Obviously we can't get all 4 but I think the other 7 starting positions are fully locked down

If he has continued to develop that potential with a few years of football under his belt £6m could be a shrewd bit of business. Would free up funds for more pressing positions this summer.

But anyone know how he has been playing? He seems to have had injury problems this season...

I'd be looking at Alfie Doughty as well, especially if Luton go down. Been really impressed when I've seen him play this season

Bit of a different profile but he can really control a game and create lots of different kind of chances.

100% agree. Although different style players, his prominence in the Luton team reminds me so much of Andy Robertson when he was at Hull.

By this I mean that his playing level is so far above the rest of the team that, even though he's playing at left-back, most of Luton's attacking play seems to go through him.

Would have loved to bring Cirkin back.

Sadly though he's had terrible hamstring injuries, underwent surgery in Jan for it, so given the issues Sessegnon has had it's far from ideal for us.

Someone like Somto Boniface from Chelsea would be a great pick up (17, contract 2025).

Or maybe try and re-sign Jayden Meghoma from Southampton.

Failing that maybe another Bergall type deal for 17 year old Esquerdinha who tore it up for Brazil at the U17 World Cup.

Get one of them to train with the first team for a year. Sign Kelly and KWP + Emerson, Davies, Dragusin to cover the back 4, and we're sorted there for 5+ years.

Sell one or both of Davies / Emerson if a good offer comes in but otherwise both are useful to us and don't kick up a fuss.

KWP coming back would be fun. Hiroki Ito (Whoops, sorry Ko Itakura) I think would be a savvy addition to operate as a Swiss Army knife in the squad (LB, LCB and DM cover), and then the obvious needs are still there (wingers and GK backup).

I don't see it with KWP at all, he's too small and lightweight. He's a tidy player but I'm not at all convinced he's the level we need to push forward.

One of my best mates is a Saints fan and says KWP is comfortably seen as their best player. I went to watch them and he was very good.

Our business will partly be dependent on sales.

Ait-Nouri and KWP could be good options for wing back and possibly available too.

From there we can look to sell/release Dier, Royal, Lo Celso, Gil, Hojbjerg and Sessegnon.

Depending on how successful we are with sales I wonder if we could look into spending big on a striker, who know the return of Kane might even be available.
