The signings will come, tomorrow,
If we have to beg, or steal, or borrow,
Let's all say.
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you, tomorrow,
You're always a day away.

Have thought JJ might be wrong on this one, especially after reading the quotes from Rennes chairman this weekend:

Speaking after Rennes defeat to Lyon on Saturday, club chairman Frederic de Saint-Serni, said: 'He has a concrete offer from England.'

Yep, but that's from "Jim'll Mix It" - The No.1 choice for Concrete in London*

*Other concrete suppliers are available.

**This is a straight up name I found! Classic!

If we're moving more to a proper 4-3-3, like AVB used at Porto and Chelsea, I'd argue that M'Vila might suit us better than Modric - it seems to be one destroyer (Essien/Mikel = Parker/M'Vila), one box to box (Ramires = Sandro) and one more attacking player (Lampard = Sigurdsson/VDV). Then again, AVB did want Modric at Chelsea...

I think Sandro and M'Vila could also swap roles in that scenario. Descriptions of M'Vila state that he's much more versatile than simply being a defensive presence. As a result, they could be an ideal pairing.

Don't know or care much about his stats, whenever I've watched him play he looks like the perfect number 9, particularly for a team with two wide forwards and a 'number 10' sitting just behind him. He's big, strong, great with his back to goal, has a great touch and is good in the air. He reminds me of Berbatov in his prime, but isn't such a lazy tosser. They are the reasons I wet my knickers over him, although I can't speak for anyone else.

So, are you a Yidette or just kinky? :cautious:

The building firm 'Ministry of Sand' pips it for me though...

I thought that was when commolli was said to be feeding them info though, wasnt that said at the time?

Not saying that their whole sports team relies on a shit director of football for all its info though obviously!

It was certainly suggested. Of course, I would never level such an accusation at Damo.

I trust JJ.

This is just the standard news reports followed by a flurry ITKS trying to claim a done deal first BS. IMO
Never claimed it is a "done deal" I said we have definitely made enquires, JJ was stating we were not interested, but that is not what I heard. Different sources with different info.

I for one would welcome M'vila, Parkers not getting any younger, and he could play with Sandro and an AM in a three.

Jus' sayin'

I'd be surprised if there were many people who'd be against M'Vila if we had unlimited resources. But as we have Sandro and Parker I'm just not sure that position is a priority at the moment.

I agree that it's not a priority. But perhaps our Priorities are already sorted, and we don't know it? ;)

No-one's said it's more reliable than JJ, just that it had a spectacular run of scoops on our signings in 2006-2007, way ahead of the ITKs who were around then, and is therefore not to be dismissed. It's not the Daily Mail.

“@bbcsport_david: Spoken to M'Vila camp, who say he'd only leave Rennes for a club in Champions League & currently no interest from CL clubs in England #thfc”
