It’s a good question. If spending decent £ then someone like Kasper Schmeichel. Think Nick Pope would be a good signing from Burnley given Heaton is no. 1 again. While he is a shithouse, also think Matt Ryan will be a top goalkeeper. Sure there are others from Europe.
You know the question was ‘Who would you upgrade on Lloris with?’, right?

See, with full respect for your opinion, I’d say two of those are clear downgrades on Lloris and Schmeichel is at best comparable.

If you’re content with the constant conceding of headers from 3/4 yards out and the odd moment of madness in big games then ok. Appreciate these aren’t the ‘big names like Oblak’ just in terms of actually type of keepers we could afford / would go for who actually come for crosses and are decent shot stoppers.

Lloris has had a good season. Particularly in 2019 he’s been one of our best players.
Are you taking the piss?

Lloris cost us arguably 9 points alone this season.

Good shot stopper, the rest in the GK-subject he hasn't and will never master. A liability!

Not so sure. Goals and assists stack up well in his homeland this season. But I'll concede that the Eredivisie may be considered a somewhat easier league.

However, let's not forget Ajax have playet some good teams in this seasons Champions league.

They were unbeaten in their group stage having played Bayern Munich twice. They've knocked out Real Madrid and Juventus.

Champions league wise Beek has managed to score or assist five times in 11 matches. Almost a 1:2 ratio against some good sides.

At 22, performing the way he is, I believe him to be a more considered type signing as opposed to flavour of the month.

We’ve definitely been linked before this campaign.

Is Isco out of the question?

What about Jadon Sancho? If Eriksen is leaving, we will need a player like Sancho to provide the assists.

Ryan Fraser has more assists than Sancho (and anyone else in Europes top 5 leagues) knows PL footy & is a team player. And, unlike Sancho, wouldn't cost £30trillionbilliongazillion.

For the last few months of me mentioning him, many have instantly responded about his long throw ability, but he's so much more than that.

The lad is 22 years old, yet is calm on the ball, tenacious in the tackle, good turn of pace, reads the game well, moves things forward when he's won possession, more than decent passer, good crossing ability, good in the air, strong in possession, naturally plays a pressing game & looks like he has good team ethic & a good attitude.

Just relegated from the PL, contract up next year and, as I said at the start of this post, just 22 years old. Remember Poch saying he wished he got to work with Dembele when he was in his early twenties?

I think Billing would be an an instant improvement to our current DM options & could be extremely shrewd bit of business.

There isn't always a need to spend £370gazillion to improve.

Onions.
Hell no. Rather we gave Amos Skipp and Onomha a chance.

Actually, although formation is often listed as the standard 4-3-3, it's more of a 4-2-3-1 with Beek in 10 role and Schöne+De Jong as holding midfielders. Besides those stats are not great considering Ajax dominance in eredivisie.
Fair enough. I was looking at WhoScored and they had him listed as a CM for 20+ games this season.

I like Fraser, and he was good against us on Saturday, but the masses on here wouldn’t accept him unless he got a line in his hair, wore pink boots and changed his name to Reinaldo Frasinho

We've been linked to van de Beek for a couple of years now, way before he was even considered one of Ajax's top prospects.

GK - replace Vorm with English GK

CB - replacement for Toby if he goes is De Ligt, no problem...!

RBs - replace both of Trippier and Aurier with Wan Bissaka, push KWP forward or replace as well.

LBs - bring in Ben Chilwell (Davies to cover at LCB)

CM - Ruben Neves is class. We need him and one other to complement Sissoko, Winks and Wanyama. N'dombele would be amazing.

Attack - replace Eriksen and Lamela with players who can dribble and beat the defender - Deulofeu / Brooks

Forwards - Callum Wilson / Ante Rebic
