Good work lads re. the player reference lists above (y)

What about players who are out of contract in the summer? There's an article here to kick us off:

https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/ou...free-agents-end-of/1wr071rj9x1w116d4c1t8evb4y

Anyone got other players to mention?

PS From that list Adrien Rabiot, Hector Herrera and Diego Godin are the stand-out players. Obviously, the 'big-boys' will be interested. but you never know...

Florian Nauhaus from Borussia Monchengladbach.

Elegant, creative, quick mind and feet, tall strong boy, has goals in him.

Loving the homegrown options here. Glad in a way that the French and German leagues are looking at our young players - just hope we listen to the likes of Pleat and make some considered moves.

Who is the next ndombele in ligue 1?

And more importantly, who has the most recent, 'Welcome to Liverpool' video on YouTube?

I'll take them

Where's Ziyech going? His stats are impressive. I'd go all in for him.

I’m worried about buying from the Dutch league. Klaasens stats were also impressive and he just couldn’t hack the Prem. Jansens stats were brilliant.

Personally I’d rather look at the Championship than the Dutch league.

Don't forget Siem and Luuk de Jong.

Or Vertonghen, Eriksen, Sanchez, Suarez...good scouting gets good results.

Winnered. We can do this with every league in the world and probably find just enough success and failures to convince anyone that league is the worst or the best to buy from. The league can tell you some things but selecting a player is all about good scouting and a little bit of luck.

Super list. I’ve also been keeping tabs of potential targets all season. I compiled the following based on matches I’ve seen, statistical and expert reports, and tips. If you wish to add any of the following names, feel free. I’ve ommited ones you’ve already listed. Also note that all these players are under 24.

(Oh, and I tried to keep in style with your post but I’m doing this on my phone, so half way down I gave up as it was too time consuming. Will edit it later on when I have time)

Some like you seem to use the term "ambitious" instead of "successful". There is a big difference. Considering our income and our rise up the food chain with regards to players, position and infrastructure and expanding exposure world wide, I cannot see a more ambitious club than us in Europe. I would more equate a bigger club to be successful but not necessarily ambitious. Being ambitious does not necesarily mean successful, but it definitely means striving to be, which defines us.

I disagree, Arsenal also invested in infrastructure and stadium but they are clearly sattisfied with just being a top 4 club and with sitting on lots of money. ENICs endgame is selling the club and using the real estate around the stadium for even more money while Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern etc are all about winning multiple trophies every year. Being ambitious doesn't necesarily mean being successful, that was never the main point.

Hopefully it will be a busy summer, we will spend some money and it will look like this:

Out

Vorm - gone
Trippier/Aurier - would rather sell Trippier but not much in it and HG is important
Alderweireld - love him to stay but can't see it happening
Wanyama - hasn't looked up to it since his return and I think injuries will be a concern
Onoham - I think his chance might have gone and I think we could get decent money for him
Eriksen - if a bid comes in from Real then he will be off. Hopefully it doesn't happen but I think it will
N'Koudou - someone buy him, please??
Janssen - see above

In

Pope - HG replacement for Vorm. Makes no sense having 3 GK's and not one is HG
Wan-Bissaka - how much would he cost? Would love him at Spurs
Chilwell/Sessegnon - the former is probably a pipe dream at this point but he would be my first choice for left back. I think Davies is good cover at CB when needed and Rose on his day is still quality, but he isn't getting any younger and has had his injury issues, so Chilwell would be perfect but think it is very unlikely. Sessegnon makes a lot of sense, Fulham will be relegated and we should get him for a decent price. Wouldn't be surprised if this was our first signing of the summer
Brooks - quality young player, don't think he would cost the world either
N'Dombele - a bit like Chilwell, but this is the wish list, so...
Clarke - young, HG, Leeds getting promoted will make this difficult but I like what I've seen of him this season. Looks a real prospect

If Llorente is off then we are always going to be in that difficult position of finding a back up to Kane, but I wonder if you could try and sell the project to Wilson/Vardy to come in and compete with Kane and help us win the Prem/CL? Now, where are my meds...
