If we're selling Eriksen and Trippier, where's the creativity coming from besides one of these pipe-dream, wonder signings you're all fapping furiously over?

If our midfield was as creative as your brains when dreaming up transfer targets, we'd be alright tbf.
What ever would we do without Trippiers 3 assists, how could we possibly recreate that?

On a serious note with Eriksen, I think its a case of if/when Real or Barca come calling, he will do everything in his power to go and with with 1 year left on his contract in the summer, he holds all the cards, so I think posters are just trying to look at the best outcome in the, seemingly inevitable, situation.

Here you are, chaplets. Another updated list. I've had to replace first names with first initials due to post character limits.

As per the uuzh, link in the surname and do please let me know if you come across any broken or incorrect links.

A bit left field but if Eriksen leaves and we can’t sign Isco or someone of his ilk how about Roberto Pereyra from Watford, always looks super skilful and impactful when I watch him and has pedigree having coming from Juventus.
When replacing a player that is by far our most creative player, I would hop we manage to get a player that didn't have a career high of just 6 assists in a season.

Average and I'm sure you're the one who keeps advocating selling Lamela and Lucas :D

Is Luka Jovic obtainable? Looks made for us and the PL, and I can really imagine him linking well with our other attacking options.

He’s the next big attacking talent and has been linked to all the elite clubs. He’ll cost a fortune. I think it’s perhaps wiser to go for someone a little more under the radar like Joelinton at Hoffenheim.

Don't underestimate the defensive work Sissoko has been doing for us. He's put in a huge shift covering Trippier and Aurier and I can't think of a better CM to have when the opposition attack us on the break. He's always the one left back when we have corners and he gives us some real pace and cover when our CBs are attacking. It's been even more important when you consider the usual outcome of an Eriksen corner.

Does anyone think that our Sissoko could be converted into a RB? He already does a shitload of covering for our current RBs.

Sorry guys but don't want players with Bale's attitude at Spurs (pretending they're gods). Don't care how good he is/was, would love all that money in wages spent somewhere else

I think you're getting him confused with Cristiano Ronaldo or Antoine Griezmann. Of all the elite players in world football, Gareth Bale wouldn't even be on the list when it comes to "pretending they're gods".

Bale is widely known to be quiet, verging on shy, off the field. He keeps to himself and has been labelled "The Golfer" by his teammates in Madrid because thats what he spends most of his time doing.

I'm genuinely astonished that anyone would view Bale as a primadona type. He's always been a very humble guy despite his world class ability.

Comments from Jenas about how Bale is a family man and would rather go home to his family than party with his teammates.

Sarr is a real live wire. Definite PL potential.

Agreed, also like Nicolas Pepe from Lille. Some cracking, pacey wingers in Ligue 1 right now, however, Georges Kevin-Nkoudou had a good season at Marseille (41 apps, 10 goals, 5 assists) before we signed him so I'd be cautious with that league right now.

I think this would have already happened if we had better options in midfield this season.

As you say, he already does their defending for them, might as well just start him there.

Not for me. RB needs to have very good defensive instincts. We have 2 RBs now who've played there for years and find the job difficult. What Sissoko does now is use his athleticism to avert danger but the role of RB is far more complex than that. In our system we also need players who can deliver a final ball and again, we have players who've played there for many years who can't do it. haven't seen any evidence that it's a strength for Sissoko and he was pretty awful when he played wide right for us before switching to CM.

Be interesting to see where Bale does end up. Looks like a Bayern special to me. In terms of coming back to the premiership it looks like Man U would be the only likely option who could realistically match his wages. Even then, it depends how much cash they give Solskjaer. You wouldn’t think another forward would be anywhere near the top of their priority list but who knows. Would he go to Chelsea in place of Hazard? Can’t see him in their shirt for some reason but I’ve been wrong before.

In terms of him coming back to us it just doesn’t make much financial sense unfortunately, even if he’s up for it. Any deal to bring him here would involve Real topping up his wages for the next few years, which would mean us overpaying on the transfer fee to begin with. As much as I’d love to see him playing with Kane, blowing the Eriksen fee on an injury prone 29 year old (albeit superstar) who’ll have next to no value in 3 years time and may have slowed down drastically just doesn’t fit our model.

Personally I’d much rather go in with a huge offer for Sancho and sell him the project. We need to buy the future superstars...ones we can sell on in 4-5 years. That’s the model that’s got us to the position we’re in and that’s the one we should be continuing with in my opinion. (Not that I would say no to Bale obviously!)

We’re not a step up from Dortmund, I’m afraid. If he leaves there it will be for Real, Barca, or United. That’s just the sad truth.

I believe Kevin Mbabu from Young Boys counts as HG too, from his time at Newcastle
