I woke up this morning and I thought about how poor the atmosphere is recently compared to previous years. I don't know if it is performance related, or pricing makes people already annoyed and quiet.

WHL used to be one of the loudest, and I would always go home with ringing in my ears.

I cam across this article, I am sure some of you have read before, but for someone like me who had not read the reasons as to why the drum was taken away, this has saddened me and adds to my anger towards today's leadership at our club. http://www.dearmrlevy.com/dml/2012/4/17/this-drum-has-no-beat.html

I really miss this. I miss my Tottenham, and I really miss the atmosphere we once produced!

I like this comment from that blog

" I think the drum should be brought back to instruct Harry on team selection"

Another factor in the drum being banned was the fact that all of the stewards / staff assumed the drummer was a season ticket holder (or at least a ticket holder) and just used to let him in one of the side gates for all those years. Then, one day, somebody challenged him and it became apparent that he had been admitted entry without a ticket all the time (Well done that man!). I don't think he fancied paying to orchestrate the choir in the end and I can't say I blame him. I'd love the drum back at the Lane though - no coincidence the atmosphere has plummeted since the drum was removed. Shame. I listen to the atmosphere at Palace home games and that's how I'd love us to be. Anyone remember the first time we beat Chelsea at the Lane after all those years. Azza with the winner. The place was rocking.

That is excately what happened, he was told that he could keep coming in if he paid and he said no. Cheeky twat had been getting for free for ages and then refused to pay, he can piss off and shove his drum up his arse.

It needs 1882 to get a permanent fixture that's all

Really? I assumed it was some health and safety bollocks, or the fact that his main songs were 'Yids' and 'Who let the Yids out'.

They may have been other things but the main reason is he was not willing to pay. The reasons he will not be allowed back have been added to and probably include those.

The other reason is there are lots of fans ( myself included) who got sick to death of the constant bang, bang bang, it got as bad as the stupid band that follow England around.

At last something we can agree on!

I think I started an argument on twitter now. Even the THST is getting involved and appear to share my opinion!

I didn't realise there were so many already fighting for a WHL revival. Great to see so many passionate fans

Does anyone remember when Paxton used to sing back? I do!

What the hell happened to English football that its got to the stage where we need a drum to generate atmosphere?

All seater stadiums, categorisation, stubhub, pricing out young fans, ST holder ratio, no match day availability, heavy handed policing, policy on Yids, standing and swearing.

Going to the football is supposed to be a release for guys after the working week, not a sanitised day out for all the family thats interjected with 90 minutes of football

Sometimes the fuss at the back of east upper bang the cladding wish makes a hell of a racket, especially when timed well.

As always we just need some organisation

It's got nothing to do with the drum.

Rubbish football and an ageing crowd is the real reason.

We need to get more fans between the ages of 16 and 25.

I used to stand in the Paxton in my teens with my mates and we used to never stop singing.

When I go to the Lane all I see is people my age who are grumpy.

The younger generation can't get tickets and are being priced out.

This is not just a spurs problem.

Not an easy fix
