After Sunday we are concentrating on PL. The remaining fixtures are once a week (except for the first game against Swansea played on a Wednesday) so plenty of time for rst and coaching.

Below are the fixtures and my guesses on results.

Swansea City - Home (Win)
Queens Park Rangers - Away (Win)
Manchester United A (Draw)
Leicester City H (Win)
Burnley A (Win)
Aston Villa H (Win)
Newcastle United A (Draw)
Southampton A (Draw)
Manchester City H (Loss)
Stoke City A (Win)
Hull City H (Win)
Everton A (Draw)

That would take us to 69 points - which might get us anywhere between 3rd and 7th!

It's going to be interesting which players Poch uses - the key players will probably be Lloris, Vorm, Walker, Rose, Davies, Vertonghen, Fazio, Dier, Mason, Bentaleb, Stambouli, Dembele, Eriksen, Chadli, Lamela, Townsend, Kane and Yedlin(18 players)

So will he use Paulhino, Soldado, Chirches or indeed Adebayor, Kaboul and Capoue ?

Will he give bench time and minutes to youngsters such as Winks, Onomah or others ?

Well at least we wont have the hangover from thursday night games as we challenge for top four

If we want to challenge for the top 4, we need fucking sort out the defence or imo sacrifice one of the 3 AM's for a DM and go 433

what I put in the predictor thread

Swansea City - Home (Win)
Queens Park Rangers - Away (Draw) not our luckiest of away grounds
Manchester United A (Win)
Leicester City H (Win)
Burnley A (Draw)
Aston Villa H (Win)
Newcastle United A (Draw)
Southampton A (Loss)
Manchester City H (Draw)
Stoke City A (Loss)
Hull City H (Win)
Everton A (Win)

I am so crap at predictions though, so luckily we have over 40pts

I think we finished in 7th spot on 66pts

We are in such awful form at the moment. I guess it's better off that most of the shit occur now than in the run in. Hopefully we can snap out of it soon.

Was just thinking that myself.

Most teams have a blip, so whilst it's disappointing ours has come just before a cup final, at least we will be back to one game a week soon, with lots of time on the training pitch. And less chopping/changing.

I think Sunday will be pretty horrible, unfortunately. I'm excited about the day but it's all set up for us to take a dicking.

However, as you say, the key will be how quickly we can snap out of the poor form.

If we can bounce back with two wins vs Swansea and QPR then I'd be confident of a strong finish in the league. I'm confident that Poch knows how to drill the team to avoid the March flatline of the Redknapp era.

Not confident that we'll finish top 4, but there are no excuses for not giving it our best shot. We are a team without identity, cohesion, or excitement at this moment. We are only 2 weeks removed from a sumptuous victory, though, and our season could turn around Sunday. The nature of being a football fan is the ephemerality of any 'situation' we find ourselves in. I fully expect some weeks where we are on suicide watch, blaming Levy, Pochettino, Lamela, and Roman Pavlyuchenko for our woes. I also expect some weeks where we actually show some pride and confidence in our beloved Spurs. Personally, I think the race for top 4 is sadly out of our hands; if Liverpool, Arsenal, and United begin to drop points I believe we have a chance but I do not think we will storm to victories and get 4th.

What we have is a golden opportunity. This is where we show our mettle. I'm bloody excited for the next two months.

I dont mind going out of the Europa - I always figured we'd be better off concentrating on the Prem and winning the Europa was always a long long shot. I didnt enjoy watching Soldado and Fazio go down in flames though.

TBH, I think we have as good a chance as any of the 5 teams below Chelsea and City to finish top 4, more so now that we dont have to worry about the Europa. And I have more confidence in Poch to get the team in a groove than I did in Harry or Sherwood. Im not a sunshine pumper, I just think Poch has a system and we've seen glimpses of it. Harry had some great players but basically turned it over to them, and Sherwood never did settle on a first 11.

who cares if we're regressing back to, or should i say, we are going back to the form we'e shown all season long apart from 2 london derbies at white hart lane.

there's no real point in me doing this because it never goes according to plan but fuck it. last time.

Swansea City - Home (Win) Most likely to win because Swansea can't beat us.
Queens Park Rangers - Away (Win) Should win because QPR are awful but we've lost there before and we really suck so who knows.
Manchester United A (Draw) draw most likely
Leicester City H (Win) win probably
Burnley A (Win) draw or loss because we are getting too many good results and it's time
Aston Villa H (Win) aston villa are shit
Newcastle United A (Draw) draw or loss because it feels like it
Southampton A (Draw) depends if saints have already gone out of the race. if they haven't we'll lose. if they have easy win.
Manchester City H (Loss) no chance
Stoke City A (Win) might lose this too
Hull City H (Win) smash them
Everton A (Draw) depends on where everton are and if there is anything riding on the game

shit even when i wanted to be pessimistic we still look like we have a good fixture list. but this is spurs so we could lose half of these especially when fuckers like fazio and soldado continually screw up. i don't understand how spurs keep buying assholes who keep making fatal mistakes.

Are we really that out of form?

We've not had the results but performance against Liverpool was good. 1st half performances against Fiorentina good. It was only West Ham where we had poor spells, and we didn't lose that one.

Think the one game a week we now have dhould help our league form.

Can't see us only losing once for the rest of the season tbh.

Swansea City - Home (Win) 3-1
Queens Park Rangers - Away (Win) 2-1
Manchester United A (Loss) 0-2
Leicester City H (Draw) 1-1

Aston Villa H (Win) 3-0

Southampton A (Loss) 1-2
Manchester City H (Draw) 2-2
Stoke City A (Loss) 1-2
Hull City H (Win) 3-1
Everton A (Draw) 1-1

So, 19 pts between now and the end of the season IMO. We've flashed at times but we've also been awful lucky at times and I can't see us just steaming everyone between now and the seasons end to make a miraculous run to the top 4. We are running on fumes at present and our depth, whilst lauded by outsiders as a strength, is really quite poor.

We have never been in a top 4 conversation AFAIC and it is about being competitive, closing the gap and avoiding getting spanked by the teams around and above us. Sort the squad out in the summer with an injection of youth and cull of the absolute dross that exists beneath the main 14-15 players, add 2 or 3 players only that are genuine quality and maybe we can be in with a squeak of top 4. With our comfortably 6th highest wage bill and our depressingly average squad it is credit to some of our stand out performers, and also to the manager, that we are not a million miles away from CL places on points, even if we are in wages paid and quality of squad

A part of the reason we're still in a decent position for a top 4 finish this season is that Liverpool and Arsenal have been beset with injuries and we've had the healthiest squad I can ever remember for most of the season. Realistically, if Sturridge hadn't been hurt for 3 months, and Arsenal had a bit of health (Ozil, Giroud each missed numerous months, Sanchez has missed games, as has Chamberlain, Welbeck, Wilshere, Koscielny, and Walcott), we'd look like far bigger outsiders than currently.

Given that, I think finishing in the top 4 is still in our hands. We just have to simply beat every single team below us in the table with the exception of maybe a draw against Southampton. Not undoable given how poor some of those mid to bottom table teams are.

Nevertheless, I don't think culling the squad and adding two to three quality players, even if it were to happen (hard to do under the conditions of selling to buy), would be enough to make us genuine top 4 contenders. The new television deal has come at a very inopportune time for us and a fantastic time for the top 5. They're going to all go out and strengthen to such a degree that I don't think we can really finish ahead of any of them next season, which is why it's so imperative for us to really make a hard push this season to sneak into that spot.

Today is getting worse by the minute with Liverpool winning Arsenal jus5 taking the lead, dreading our game today and if we lose can see Swansea beating us on Tuesday, so can't see us getting 4th unless2 of utd Arsenal or Liverpool go into melt down

Agree, hence 'in with a squeak' of top 4

And again, with reference to new financial deals, maybe it would be better to ensure we are in the top 4 this year. I just haven't been able to see it all season long, and certainly less so now with our fatigue, lack of January strengthening, and the likes of Liverpool coming bang into form

Think we'll need 9 wins and nothing worse than a draw at United. Doable but tough, particularly picking them up after this week.

At least it should mean we don't get to see any of the following, hopefully ever;
Kaboul
Chiriches
Capoue
Paulinho
Soldado
Adebayor

Hoping, injuries aside, Poch plays the same XI every week, give the players a significant number of games to gel together.

It's a very good run in. However, and I hope I'm wrong, I think that some of the predictions above are wildly optimistic. I think we will lose quite a few of these games. We look knackered and don't have great depth of squad.
