It's too easy to get carried away by our form over the last 6 games or so. We have to do better on our away games, we've dropped too many points there. I'd love to say we can smash ManC next week but they will want to make a statement that they are not out of it. We have to do what we did last season until we crashed and burnt over the last 4 games. Let's just take one game at a time and be ready to take advantage of any mistake Chelscum make, then see where it gets us for the run in.

If we are to win it we need to start being a bit cleverer / cuter. Things like killing games where the score is close by slowing down games etc.
Likewise Rose is currently on 8 yellow cards. Saturday was the ideal time to pick up number 9 in the last few minutes. He's bound to be booked against Man City which would have meant he served his ban against Wycombe. As it is now, he'll be facing a suspension in the league and possibly against Liverpool away.

Have to say, I wasn't expecting us to be sat in 2nd place middle of January, after Mourinho, Conte and Guardiola taking the helm at their clubs.
Been a fantastic run of games, we are playing as such a unit - next week is huge, but then pretty much every game is now as huge until the end of the season.
Can we close the gap to Chelsea - it's certainly possible.

I'm looking at the next three games. After Hull Chelsea have Liverpool and Arsenal.
After City, we have Sunderland and Middlesbrough.
Realistically we want to have made some ground on them by the time these games are chalked off, but it probably means getting a result at City and obviously winning the two after.

After 21 games last season we were 7 points behind Arsenal and Leicester who were on 43 points and we had 36.

Honestly, I thought Everton would give City a game because I said before and I keep saying that City are the most vulnerable team in the top 6 and they have a soft centre and IMO will struggle to qualify for the top four. It's had to see where the other teams will drop points though.
