So that's it, no more "bankers" left for the season. Every game now represents a serious challenge for the points, whether coming up against rivals desperate to spoil our party in Arsenal/West Ham, Mourinho and his draw specialists, in form Palace and Leicester sides, or even Silva's unbeaten home record at Hull whereby they may need the points on the final day to stay up. Every game now gives cause for concern. On current form, teams should be more scared of us than we are of them, but even the best teams drop points somewhere and it's hard to see us getting the whole way to the end of the season without any slip ups now.

However, the difference between this Spurs team and teams of the past is that, whilst we know there are some tough games coming up soon, we made damn sure we got the three points in the easy games. Think of the best Tottenham sides of the past 50 years, featuring Chivers, Peters, Hoddle, Waddle, Lineker, Gascoigne, Klinsmann, Berbatov, Modric, Bale....none of them ever won seven games on the spin. That's a pretty shocking statistic to be honest - even Everton managed seven wins in a row under Roberto Martinez, but too often we've seen Spurs sides over the years who didn't appreciate that you get the same number of points for beating someone crap at home as you do for beating a big team away - this year we're not seeing any such complacency and are ruthlessly ripping the weaker teams to shreds.

Only 3 chances for Chelsea to drop points, Utd, Everton and maybe West Brom. We have to win every single game, and hope for a miracle. So tough but let's new going as we are gaining huge respect

So proud of this team and have loved (most of) the last 2 years but it's gutting that for two years in a row, the best team in the league won't win the title.

*yes I'm aware the table doesn't lie etc...

The best team has been handicapped by having extra games to contend with whilst their rivals haven't for the last two seasons.

Our record against the big boys is the reason, and our away record this season isn't good enough

Chelsea have to drop tomorrow v United for the title portion of this thread to continue IMO. I just can't see them stinking up the joint and dropping in hardly any of their remaining fixtures.

I can see them dropping points at Man Utd and Everton, possibly West Brom, depending on what mood Pulis is in. They should win their remaining home games at a canter.

I agree but that would still mean we would probably need to win all our games which I can't see happening but would be immense if we do win all our games

I know not everyone likes this, so ignore if you're a "let's just focus on us" man, but...

If you're right....that's 87 points minimum for Chelsea. We'd have to collect 16 from 6. Which would be something to be proud of with our remaining fixture list. 5 wins and a draw does that for us.

But Chelsea won't lose all three of those I don't think. Let's say they lose one and draw two. That's 89, which is a crazy number. We'd have to win out of course.

If we got to 86 - which would represent 3 wins two draws and two losses for Chelsea - regardless of whether that's enough or not, I'd be fucking proud to be a Tottenham Hotspur fan. (of course I already am.)

Err EDIT: got my maths wrong. Corrected. Changed everything of course :( today is not my day. I can't get it out of my head that Chelsea have their game in hand.

God I haven't looked at how much Chelsea would have to screw up to make this possible. That takes the wind out of the sails.

Chelsea will have to seriously mess it up and I don't think they will. However it's not beyond realms of possibility they'll lose tomorrow. They'll beat Southanmpton but if we match them against Palace it'll remain 4pts. Their next game after that is Everton away, there's a big chance they may draw that game which would mean if we beat Arsenal we go two points behind. Their remaining games after this look piss easy but imagine if they're only 2 points ahead, even an easy home game will suddenly have huge pressure.

Still got bad feeling about that Leiecester being the game they win it but if they were to lose tomorrow it is game on.

Leicester will be on the beach by the time we play them. Problem is so will West Brom when Chelsea play them in all likelihood.

Such a pity City hadn't taken points off them, or they hadn't equalised so late against Stoke, as I can see them dropping points against United and Everton and us taking care of our business in this kind of form where our confidence is through the roof.

Wouldnt surprise me if they win it by two points.

I guarantee they will give it their all when we come to town.

I know we should be banning any talk of us being Spursy, but wouldn't it be Spursy if it was us dropping points at Leicester which hands Chelsea the title. The exact reverse of last season :-(

It was dropping points to WBA at home and the subsequent 3 match ban of Dele which cost us more.

if we beat the goons and UTD, will that be the best home record of any Prem league season (15W, 2D, 0L)??

In 11/12, Man City's Home record was 18W 1D 0L, United had the same record in 10/11, Chelsea matched it in 05/06
