If we managed to pick up 6 points we genuinely could somehow find ourselves in the Europa League. Brighton lost today and their fixtures (outside of Southampton) are brutal.

Win our last 2 and who knows. Brighton are unpredictable though. My concern is City win the league at home to Chelsea and then don't show up at Brighton in the week. They should breeze through Saints.

Safe to say that Brighton will beat Saints so we absolutely need to beat Brentford. If that happens then we arguably need City to not win the title vs Chelsea - which they almost certainly will - meaning that they will fully rotate away to Brighton on Weds. If Brighton win that game then it's done and dusted, if they lose then we go into final day 1 point behind and as long as we beat Leeds away and Brighton and Villa either draw or Villa win then we've scraped 6th.

All that said, I think we end up 8th, lol. If there is anything in that last game vs Leeds then they will beat us for sure.

I wonder if Slot would be more inclined to take the ECL or Europa seriously?

Assumptions being made obviously.

Need Liverpool to actually turn up in the 2nd half if we have any hope of ECL ...(Feel a bit gross wanting Liverpool to win. This is what you do to me Tottenham!)

I’m probably very deluded but I still think we get Europe.
I think we better Villa’s result next weekend.

Really hope we dont get Europe
If we don't our European coefficient will fall. On top of that we have more than 30 players in the 1st squad without academy players. If we don't provide a game time, we need to sell and loan 9-10 players. Conference league is a good opportunity to play young players or second numbers. On the other hand: f*ck Levy, he deserves it!

Think with Leeds still mathematically being able to avoid relegation and Big Sam there, can see us melting up there in the atmosphere. They will be in our faces and I'm not too sure how many of ours actually will fancy it.

Also Villa have a whole week to prepare for their games against Brighton whereas Brighton have a midweek game against City. Granted City will probably likely have the title sewed up by then and on the beach when they play but still another game and the fixtures piling up for Brighton towards the end may work in Villa's favour.

Our away form is horrendous though. We could well finish 9th now with City likely on holiday for the Brentford game.

With the champions league final
Coming up i dont think any City players will be phoning it in, they’ll beat Brentford i think.

I don’t think people are realising how much it’ll hurt us not being in Europe.
If it hurts Levy it in turn hurts us as a team and fans.
And also makes the rebuild much harder.
