We should be able to make top-4:

@ Southampton - W
@ Everton - W
Brighton - W
Bournemouth - W
@ Newcastle - D
Man United - D
@ Liverpool - L
Palace - W
@ Aston Villa - W
Brentford - W
@ Leeds - W

26 points + 48 points = 74, which should be enough for top-4

This assumes we stay relatively injury-free for the rest of the season. With no other competitions, we should get a settled XI, and time to prepare.
Hugely optimistic

It's hard to see any team being consistent in all honesty. It feels kind of like that last full season under Poch where the teams chasing 4th keep slipping up. Hopefully we get that 4th spot again.

It might be a good thing for us that Chelsea appear to be getting their act together. Apart from ourselves they play all of the top 7 teams. They have Liverpool, Brighton, and Newcastle at hone and are away to Arsenal and both Manc clubs. Winning all those home fixtures and a least a draw at OT would be a huge plus for us.

Admire the optimism but no chance we’re winning 4/6 away games, they’re all tricky games.

Given the points total for us and teams around us are low I believe 70 points should be fine to get top 4 this season. We’re fourth now and averaging 67,5 points over a 38 season currently.

If you factor in two of those wins becoming draws (e.g. Villa Park and Goodison) it looks quite doable to me.

We don’t look like scoring away from home El alone winning at the mo hopefully like you say now with one game a week and maybe a new manager bounce that could help too 😉

What price Fulham, Soton and Wolves win today? Bit of a motley crew to be pinning any hopes on.

Fkin typical Paulinha isn’t playing- lucky basturds

I thought we looked like scoring v Wolves, we created more than enough to actually win that.

Yeah but we didn’t score against them sheff united or Milan away and one at Leicester
You're right we didn't, but as that is the last away game then I'd say result aside the performance was better. Everton are hot and cold currently, Southampton are shocking. We should be beating those, even in a bad patch.

I know it’s a footballing cliché but those teams in the bottom half on the table will be fighting for survival- there’s a lot at stake and wanting to remain in the PL is paramount- it will bring a few upsets I’m sure

Lets take it one match at a time, and see where we end up.

I would quite like to see that table of how we stack up against the same fixtures from last season. Feels like we are now down on them after losing to Leicester and wolves. We have 3 more points than after this amount of games last season though. Either way, we need to go on a good run now. Can’t really afford any slip ups. Table looks different if we had beaten wolves though despite the games in hand other teams have. We’d have been third after today, which paints a vastly different picture of things.

Your predicting exactly the same finish as the last eleven games last season , W8 D2 L1 , think we are 3 points better off after 27 games now than last season.
