Hey everyone been a while i haven't posted apologies :)

Just wanted to share my views on a player who i honestly feel will be a pivotal player for us in the run in for our top four quest and further more.

Paulinho has it all. But the way he plays and comes alive in the final third when we attack is fantastic to watch. And i feel he will be that player that can nick the all important "winner".

His link up play is world class, those amazing samba touches, surging runs and being at the right spot at the right time for either a tap in or a header is a making of a game changer.

Fair enough it was a easy straight forward finish but the goal against newcastle was so impressive, after that superb link up play with ade he automatically knew he would be in a position to score jusssst in case it would be a rebound.

Only one area i would really like him to improve on is his shooting lol sometimes they are quite way off. I do feel he will improve in that department however.

At the beginning i was wary of him and did have questions BUT he is fast becoming my favourite player and im so happy that he is improving as each game goes which is huge credit to our samba star and also cant wait to see him at the world cup.

I really feel we have a special player here guys and hope you all share my views on him to discuss.

If we continue to play 4-3-3 I can see him getting a lot of goals due to his late runs in the box, you can't really coach that it's instinctive.

Think he'll make a huge difference for us in the run-in. He probably played too much this autumn after having played the entire summer.
Him sitting out the busy Christmas period through suspension and then getting a prolonged break due to Fat Bastards tackle could be a blessing in disguise.

Very good player. Adapted better than the other signings to the Prem

I feel he is under rated by some but I agree a pivotal role awaits him

Worried he will be knackered next season after World Cup campaign as well as a hard season in Prem after his cup exploits last summer

This. He looked knackered IMO before he got injured and the enforced break probably did him some good. I do worry that quite a few of our players are in international teams that could easily have a good run in the World Cup (the Belgians, soldado, paulinho, Sandro, even lamela) which with the World Cup finishing on the 13th July and the PL starting 1 month later means either bugger all break for the players or not enough pre season.

Love the way he gets into the box and into scoring positions. I was trying to think who he reminded me of and a certain Martin Peters came into my mind(?) though I never warmed to him I do like Paulinho

Is he a definite for the World Cup starting XI? A belting WC and us finishing outside the top could test Levy's resolve...sorry, this thread was waaay to positive...;)

It is also worth remembering that Tim Vickery, who does know his South American football, talked about how paulinho had rightly been keeping fernandinho out of the Brazilian team and look how well he has done for City.

Much improvement needed in my opinion, he could and should be doing more in terms of his all round contribution. Using him in the right way would help though, a 4-3-3 where he has real license to get forward gets the best out of him.

He's great at getting into scoring positions but other than that I'm not entirely sure what his strengths are. His finishing could be better and he isn't particularly fast, strong, skillful or creative.

That said he has had some very good games for us - I just hope before the season's out we have a settled and balanced midfield that makes the most of the components available to us.

I like him, really pleased he came to us, in my humble opinion possibly the best player so far from the seven we bought in the summer.

Having seen glimpses of what he can do when playing for Brazil... i'm extremely glad we signed him. What i like about the guy is the mix of samba-style finesse football and the unorthodox driving runs and willingness to head the ball. You can tell he has played his football outside of Brazil too to develop a more all-round game.

Agree that he is probably the best signing of the 7 so far and hopefully he can help Spurs gate crash the top 4 party.

COYS!

He's got everything.

Nowhere near consistent enough yet (despite this he has 6 goals and a couple of assists), but I think he has every attribute required to succeed. Not just that, I think he'll be one of the league's top midfielders.

I agree, the potential is slowly coming through. He had a very slow start at first... probably playing too deep to have an affect on the attacking play.

But he is instrumental in Brazil's attacking play

Think he'll need a cracking PL season before we start getting any interest we need to worry about. There is a reason why we got him, he hasn't played in Europe. Needs a little longer here before bigger clubs will start considering. They will be monitoring him though, no doubt.
