Did anyone post this?

Does it mean I can transfer NDombele, Pepe, Wan-Bissaka and Telles to my Fifa squad?

Taken the edge off a season for me, far too many asking too many questions rather than enjoying the moment.

Ergo, what's the point?
What's the point in anything though? If you're enjoyment is based on the opinions of others then your life will be littered with things that should have felt great but weren't.

I agree that the end of the season does feel a bit flat, but only because the last game was a PL game and our PL form has been awful lately. I actually think that is something that we have suffered before under Poch and is something he needs to continue to look at in terms of squad mentality.

We all need to remember that Poch is not the one calling the press conferences. It's not like he wants to keep talking about his future, his lack of trophies, potential job offers and player spending. The press conferences are arranged for each match and it's the journalists asking the questions... the journalists who need to fill column inches and create click bait headlines. He cannot take the approach of "say nothing at all" because that's not practical.

At the end of the day there are always going to be fans viewing things with a negative slant and either asking questions or plain making crap up to fit what they want to believe. We can't let it make us all negative because then there would truly be no point. The more I hear people being negative the more I feel entrenched in the notion of being positive - which is exactly what Poch has called for us fans to do.

Well, that JJ tweet seems pretty definitive. If we don't go for it this summer, we never will. From a stature and publicity perspective (new stadium and CL final) and seemingly from a financial perspective, this is the moment.

Having money is great, but ultimately it needs to be used wisely let's be honest. I have no doubts the money is there, but I would much prefer it goes towards players that Poch wants and feels will fit the ethos of the club first and foremost.

Call me paranoid and I’m sure it’s because of June 1st but he didn’t look too emotional or bothered in the lap round the pitch after the game today!!
I would suggest he has used up enough emotion in the last week for a lifetime, while I imagine he wasn't best pleased with the draw. On the other hand, if he felt in any way that this could be the last time he would be walking around the new WHL he would have been emotional

It’s blatantly obvious we’ve got money.

It’s time for some investment. We know it, Poch knows it, Levy knows it.

Pochettino is not stupid, I think there is a possibility he will resign during pre-season if he gets any sense that DL is up to his usual tricks early on. I don’t think the promise of signings later on in the window will wash this time. First game of the season we need to be ready.

Is it that simple though? Can Poch even walk out of a contract with 4 years left worth £34m? Surely his only hope would be to get another club to take him and pay Levy off?

I think it's a moot point regardless as I'm confident he'll get better support this summer.

Also, DL is smart enough to know that very few managers could do what Poch has done for the club. It is waaaaaaay cheaper to back Poch and spend the money (within reason) on the players he wants than hope to luck up with another coach and then have to start this project all over again.

Had we been knocked out in the quarters (or even the semis) I could see business as usual for the next season or two...but making the finals we've had a golden goose plop down right in front of DL and Poch, just BEGGING them to take it. I choose to believe that both Poch and DL understand the opportunity that has just fallen into their laps and will not f*ck this up.

It won't be easy , even if the will is there though. Generally , PL teams simply don't cave in and accept a ' big ' offer from a rival anymore because they don't need to. If Villa get promoted, I see little chance of Grealish coming. If they don't, they will probably have to let him go but they will probably ask £50 million now and the club simply won't pay that far over the odds so it will turn into the usual saga into August. What we need to get better at is making a proper offer for players( not something patently silly) and then making it clear when we are moving on to another target ( and doing it), not this constant drip drip of brinkmanship that drives us all completely mad.
I think we probably stand a better chance of getting foreign players in ( a few at Ajax are very tempting as are Gomes and Tielmans) but we have this homegrown ratio problem, so again an issue for the club. Then , we have so many that we probably need to move out to make room. Again, time to stop the nonsense over fees and see the bigger picture.
On top of all this, we have all our PL rivals trying to sign many of the exact same players- so wages is another huge issue for the club. I can quite see a position where we agree a fee with Ajax for someone, only to have Man City or Chelsea snatch them off us.
We need to be quicker in wrapping up deals or moving on.
We have just about got away with it this year(in the league), more down to Arsenal and Man Utd totally messing up. Goodness only knows how we would have done if Eriksen had picked up a bad injury. Without even considering closing the gap on Man City and Liverpool, we desperately need an influx to strengthen the squad not just to remain competitive in the top 6 but to hold off emerging squads such as Wolves, Leicester and Everton.
And, finally, replacing existing players if they leave( players we don't want to go- eriksen, Toby, maybe others)

This summer, in fact, is the best time for us to make a big investment in playing staff.

As a club, we have just reached the pinnacle game of the European (probably world) footballing calendar, we've just moved into a shiny new stadium which brings us huge prestige, we did push the top two league sides for a full 3 quarters of a season and we did all that with a threadbare squad and no new signings.

If I was a player I would look at Spurs and think "wow, look what Poch has achieved despite all those obstacles and now they are investing, if i go there I could be part of something really special - and the players all look happy and like they are part of a family".

Having said that Poch really has a job on his hands when you consider all the teams looking to rebuild this summer in a big way - Real Madrid, Man Utd and maybe Chelsea if they get off their transfer ban.

This summer is also going to be huge for our stadium sponsorship deal. UCL finalists and looking for a stadium sponsor. That is going to be one hell of a deal for us.

Well I wouldn't worry too much about that; all the info points to the fact that every signing these days has Poch's blessing.

Tbh, it was one of the reasons we didn't sign anyone last summer.

Not having a massive go a Poch, just pointing out the facts.
