Poch need to change his training methods. Our players get tired, unfit or injured toward the end of every season...wonder why? It's because players are being overworked in double training sessions everyday. Sometimes players just simply need more rest.

There is a huge difference between being 95% energy and 100% energy when in a game. That could mean you get to the ball first or not, or if you can score the goal or not.

Fitness is an important part of football, but football intelligence is also important. The key is to move the ball with purpose and not just for the sake of moving it.

Just my suspicion though.

I don't agree with this, the stats show that we normally get stronger in the 2nd half of the season.

I still think the World Cup debacle has had a lasting affect on our players tbh.

In my view we have too small a squad of quality players... guys like Lamela are injured most of the time and some players are not good enough so cannot share enough games to give players a rest. We need to buy first team players only from now on and not backups.
Eriksen, Kane, Alli etc all need to be challenged for their place

You need that intensity in training and in matches to be able to compete. The answer to the problem is to have the squad capable of playing with this intensity and coping with the injuries that may ensue. If rotation players are good enough then the manager has no qualms about resting Kane for the odd game for example.

Look at Liverpool under Klopp. Very similar to us over the past couple of years with their style of play. Invested in the squad and not only are they having little injuries but they're able to cope with them without many issues.

Both our style of football and results will improve dramatically with a good squad beyond the first XI, that I am sure of.

Yep.
May the coming enormous investment in our squad have the grace of God, Buddha, some Hindu matey and Inkyminkey the god of impossibilities, upon it.

We don’t have a strong enough squad.

Losing 6 games in the row away from home and close to throwing champions league football away for next season.

Buck stops with Poch I’m afraid. He’s the manager.

He might be, but working with a squad that hasn't been improved for maybe 3 TW. Lucas was probably our last buy & is only a squad play & Poch highlighted what he needed this time last year & got nothing, so trying to get the best out of what we've got.

The truth is we've over achieved this season, because whilst our 1st eleven with Kane etc. are decent we don't have the squad to challenge the top as the last month or so has shown.

How can Poch be proud of the season even if we get knocked out by Ajax... 20 points behind Liverpool and 12 defeats is frankly not good enough.

I would love to know the reality about our lack of transfer activity. Guess we’ll never know, but if in fact it was Poch who decided we could just muddle through then he needs to shoulder a lot of the blame for how our form has nosedived.

No manager would refuse signings. He may have been iffy with some of the options but if we had a chairman who genuinely wanted to spend he would have signed those iffy players

An indecive manager plus a tight charmaine means no signings

We didn't have a strong enough squad to begin the season with, and what did we do when we hit January...

Ship the G.O.A.T. off to China.

I know his ankle isn't exactly getting younger, but jeez... Selling him like that without having a replacement lined up is, well... Suicidal.

Let’s hope for all our sakes we aren’t witnessing a Ramos type situation develop.

We don’t secure top 4 next week, Poch will start next season under immense pressure.
Ramos imo was harshly done by

I fear a similar situation to be happening next season(in regards to an exodus)

We started this team against Chelsea in the final
Robinson, Hutton, Woodgate, King, Chimbonda, Lennon, Jenas, Zokora, Malbranque, Berbatov, Keane with Huddlestone, Taino and Kaboul coming off the bench.

That summer we lost Robinson, Chimbonda, Malbranque, Berbatov and Keane as well as Taino and Kaboul. Now the latter weren't huge players for us but we lost 7 of the 14 players that played in the final. He then had a squad that had holes and needed time to adjust. Players like Malbranque, Berbatov and Keane were huge for us whilst Robinson who was poor was still a stable keeper

Now this summer I fear we may see a huge upheaval and not have the same amount of quality come in.

If we're not playing Champions League next season (or final this time) then he should go.
Team reflects the manager, and they let us down towards the end of every season.

Two games to save his job

You self entitled buffoon. The only reason we’re even competing at this level is because of Poch. First sign of trouble, considering all the circumstances the team has had to deal with this season and you want him gone. You sir are the worst kind of fan.

Lest we forget that in the distant times when we did actually spend money it wasn’t a lot and we have a squad with numerous pound shop punts that didn’t work.

So, given we don’t know what the options were in Jan and they might have been more cheapos that would have pre-ruined this summer’s ‘budget’ anyway it was probably a case of once (many times) bitten, twice shy...

P.s. yes our league form has died on its arse but I think most other fans would think it extremely funny to sack a manager who has got us to only our second EC semi in our entire history...

We're getting Frazier Campbell on loan for a season again?

Fuck a duck.
