Interestingly, Lawro has only predicted us to get 4 points fewer this season than we actually have, so he doesn't seem to have drastically wrong.

But his predicted table so far would have us in 9th, rather than in 4th, so he's clearly being hugely optimistic about some other teams....most notably the team that are currently actually in 9th who he has predicted would be in 4th.

Gosh, who on earth would that team be?

Tbf, Liverpool are the form team in the table at the moment, going by his predictions, & Leicester are just above the relegation zone.

http://www.myfootballfacts.com/Mark_Lawrenson_Predictions_2015-16.html

According to this, he's only got one correct result this weekend.

If you actually look at his predictions for our games he isn't too far away. He predicted us to lose at home to Man City which at the time I would probably had agreed with. The only two defeats he has had us down for incorrectly were Southampton away and West Brom away. So although we give him a hard time I don't think he has any agenda against Spurs on the predictions basis. As someone else said he only has us 4 points behind where we actually are.

My personal beef with him, other than the fact he is an annoying tosser, is that the write ups often don't match his prediction, the Spurs write up is usually a couple of short sentences only and his complete love in with Liverpool.

I am really intrigued with how he will predict the Liverpool v Leicester game this week as he predicts Leicester to lose or draw most weeks and Liverpool to win. Yet form is completely the opposite. Maybe he will give the normal shit about Leicester have to lose eventually, Klopp will make a difference nlah blah blah.

Actually now thinking about it I am embaraased that i have spent 2 minutes writing about Lawro, what a waste of 2 minutes of my life. How do i get them back??

You know it's got bad when Lawro is actually your third least favourite "pundit"

He's actually far more rational than Merse and Tommo.

As much as i despise the drivel lawro writes.nobody is a bigger dick than niall quinn.

It's pretty obvious from listening to Niall Quinn that he is actually blind. So a bit harsh to have a pop at his co commentary. I mean yeah, everything he says is wrong, but that's only to be expected given he can't see the game.

To be fair they're all biased as fk.
I dont even think its intentional. I genuinely think they can't help it and probably aren't even aware they're doing it.
For me Talksports Mickey Quinn is the worst by an absolute mile.
It doesn't matter who they're playing or recent form, Liverpool and Newcastle NEVER EVER lose.
They always win. Even if they're bloody playing each other lol.
Proper dickhead.

I have developed a pavlovian response to reading the title "The Lawro thread" on these boards & it involves shaking my head & muttering "wanker" under my breath!

Lawro has outdone himself this week with his prediction of the Liverpool v Leicester game.

I literally lol'ed for a full 5 minutes at its sheer ridiculousness.

I saw Leicester's 3-2 win at Everton last weekend when Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy turned the game in their favour.

What we haven't spoke about is how organised the team is behind those two. Leicester have got width, defenders who defend, a top goalkeeper and they are all prepared to work hard to create chances for Mahrez and Vardy. But, for some reason, I fancy Liverpool.

Liverpool will probably have to go back to basics - getting tackles in and squeezing the opposition. They didn't do that in the 3-0 defeat at Watford.

Liverpool's problem is that when Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana play without a centre-forward, they have too many touches and it allows the opposition to get back into position.

But because Liverpool are the underdogs - and because there will be a great Boxing Day atmosphere at Anfield - I'm going for a home win.

Lawro's prediction: 2-0

He's clearly lost the plot or on a complete wind up. Either way, I think it would be best for himself and everyone else if his nurse/carer led him gently by the hand to somewhere quiet and remote and put a nail gun to his head.

It's the only humane thing to do.

This week Lawro says this about Spurs..." I thought the trip to Southampton on Saturday would show how mentally tough they are."

Well, why the fuck don't you write what you think bollock face...this is what you said last week about us against Southampton...

Tottenham have been in much better form but their long unbeaten run was ended by Newcastle last week and it will not be easy for them to bounce back from that straight away.

****.

He's officially fucking lost it. It must have killed him to even have to admit that Liverpool are underdogs. They look so disorganised at the moment, and they'll be missing Skrtel - there's no way they'll keep a clean sheet against Leicester.
