Tottenham and Chelsea have both been charged with failing to control their players and/or officials following clashes at Monday night’s Barclays Premier League match at Stamford Bridge.

The charge of failing to control players and/or officials carries an initial set fine for a club’s first offence in a season.

So the referee bears zero responsibility during the game? Does he lose his match fee or serve a ban?

Are TV cameras to be used to cover players not within the area of the football and also are cameras to be used to film players leaving the pitch after every PL game is over?

Selective punishment is wrong, and the law should be applied in equal measure and not just when the media are chasing viewing or readership ratings.

Not even a mention of Fabregas causing problems at the end and being ordered away by Hiddink and the same for the Chelsea backroom staff.

This will be trial by TV. I think Sky bear a fair bit of responsibility. They gave Fabregas the platform to spout off and create a toxic atmosphere but I doubt very much that they'll face any kind of inquiry.

However, both Chelsea and Tottenham have already faced such a sanction following incidents in their respective games with West Brom, so could face more severe action from the authorities.

Does that not tell you that although there was obviously an issue on Monday, WBA are wind up merchants as much as anyone. Look at the evidence of Yacob niggling away at Alli until he reacted.

Well this has made me so angry I've just cancelled my sky contract- just hope I can last out for a couple of weeks.

Sacrifices have to be made.
I made mine by not being able to afford Sky in the first place.
Free streaming is the way to go

Clubs have their own TV crews nowadays - I'd advocate having a comprehensive video team filming each and every game not only for tactical and security purposes but to monitor player behaviour. I'd do it with an agenda too, to study the opposition's behaviour in fine detail and to dish the dirt on them at every single opportunity. To make that work, I'd have a team scrutinising every single game looking for all sorts of shit.

And while we're at it, I'd make sure that some sort of inert gas was fed through the air conditioning system into the away changing room before every game and again at half time.

And I'd also have invisible ray guns trained on opposition players during the game to disorientate them.

And sub-sonic sound waves to make them feel sick while they're in the changing rooms.

This is war.

Hardly an explanation. They claim the officials didn't see Dembele yet the TV pictures showed the linesman clearly looking straight at it. Absolutely no mention of Terry's elbow (when Fellaini's been banned for three games for an identical, albeit provoked incident only 24 hours earlier), Costa's bite, Mikel's slap, or Fabregas' kick. They also claim Dembele deserves more than the standard punishment when they refused to do anything about Torres doing exactly the same thing a couple of years ago. Their response to all this has been so one-sided it's bordering on corrupt.

I'll watch CL at pub, my Dads or I'll stream it. Unless I can actually get to a game. Got to go to at least 1 cl game. Mean few days off work but has to be done :)

Yeh-same old desperation for one customer:facepalm:-well I'm out as well.
CL game imperative if we qualify
Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn`t third place mean we have to still qualify?
Which would bring me back to feeling stitched up by West Brom and chelsea arseholes/players/cheats:poop:

3rd is automatic qualification.
*4th means entering the qualifying round
even if Liverpool win the Europa, that's a seperate extra place.
Unless Man City finish outside the top 4 and win the ....oh wait.

*4th.Which is still mathematically. statistically of arithmetically possible I'm told.

It is possible for the club to complain about the ref and have him removed from any fixtures for next season?
I believe if we were rewarded the free kicks we should of had in the first 20 mins, the outcome would've been totally different.

How much responsibility is the ref taking??

From what I saw he should have dealt with the Chelsea foul play in the first half an hour properly. The lack of protection led to our reaction imo and we thought well if the ref won't sort it we will.

Not nice to see but at least we didn't lay there and take it life an oft beaten dog.

The FA have done the usual and cowtowed to the general consensus. No one in England wanted us to win that game and all the feigned outrage has been amplified by the scumbag "meeja", who've even gone out of their way to attempt to get us a points deduction.

They're not interested in justice, they're only interested in mob appeasement.
