Martin Lipton was just on talksport talking about this, telling us how we will be kicked out of FIFA, no more european football, no world cups, foreign players having to leave. Says it against FIFA's rules and that this has been done to other nations before.

Sounds a lot like scaremongering tbh. FA need to be looked at and of course FIFA won't want that. Will probably draw more attention to them.

He also said it would really piss the Premier League off.

Fifa doesn't allow country's FAs to be interfered with by their governments. This is a good thing if you ask me.

But the FA needs sorting out. You only have to look at them giving boothroyd the u21s job to see how incompetent they are.

Turkeys wont vote for xmas lol.
Just heard one of said old farts on 5live. My God he was about 90. Panic ensuing that their cash cow job for life is about to disappear. Is hypocritical of government though.

So what is the reform supposed to achieve? If
It's to make Sol Campbell the England Manager I'll be livid!!

I think the problem is there are far too many old duffers who do fk all but are being paid and seem to have a job for life.
Politicians dont like it as taking the piss via an old boy network is their game lol.

Apparently its not pc enough and we should have more women, minorites and umpa lumpas representing it.
My view is I don't give a fk :)
Although if we can strip 70 or 80 of these parasites and reinvest that money into grassroots football then I'm all for it.

How would you invest in Grass Roots football? Would the FA fund new kits for every Sunday league team?

If the government is anything to go by they'll probably take the grassroots funding away and use it to give the likes of Man City and Chelsea more of a bunk up.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

I told my wife that she was facing a motion of no confidence but she told me to "f#ck off". Will the FA take the same approach?

I read a year or so ago that councils are generally charging more and more for use of pitches and clubs just cannot afford it. Then the pitches are sold off for housing.
Facilities are poor at those that remain and pitches prone to flooding and churning up into mud.
It is a winter sport sure, but the game has changed and attitudes - no-one wants to stand around freezing in muddy fields hoofing the ball any more.

What is needed are heavily subsidised indoor pitches.
Iceland obviously have worse weather than us, but they invested in indoor pitches and coaches and have been producing excellent players since. But you imagine far more people enjoy participating in the game there now - it should not just be about the elites.

The FA have no excuse as the game at the top is richer than ever. It is disgraceful that they get funding from the government/lottery.
