Not to mention selling arguably our best ever player for 100m

Absolute disgrace

It is a game changer.
Before we couldn't get players to come.
Now we can't get them to leave.

With the BJ deal yet to be confirmed and Forrest confirming Callum Hudson-Odoi I wouldn't be surprised if Levy is trying to knock off a couple million. The Herc info can only really be about him.
Don’t be daft

I don't know who the CB in the building is, maybe it is Bremer. But if it is, it's shocking that we have a player there probably doing a medical etc when we aren't willing to meet the valuation of the selling club. Whoever the CB is, it's sacrilege that we potentially aren't signing one. Only way that changes I assume is if Sanchez does go late on and Dier is released. As it stands, it's likely Lloris & Dier will have their contracts terminated.

No deadwood moved on. Our star striker gone and the goals not replaced. One injury away from davinson sanchez starting in defence.

This might be Daniel Levy’s worst window of all time. How anyone is deluding themselves that this is in any way a positive window I’ll never know

Are you insane? We have been desperate for a creative midfielder for years….we signed Maddison. Crying out for a pacy, strong, young, left sided CB for ages….we sign VDV. Crying out for a young hungry pace merchant who can challenge our forward line for the last 2 seasons….we sign Johnson. They will absolutely help us push to a level higher than we currently are!!

Our transfer window definitely needed more than it’s had, and the links today would have certainly been amazing, but the signings we’ve made, particularly our new #10 have been excellent.

Apart from Maddison, I honestly don’t think the others will have a big enough immediate impact. I’m still expecting 7th/8th at best.

But I do believe in their potential, and I feel we will see the best of them next season. Not expecting much for this season, I’m afraid.

Honestly I could see us sign a CB and Johnson not even knowing how many we can register so will tear up contracts when we figure it out

Let's not forget that many on here were coming out with the usual anti Levy rants and saying we were "done" yesterday.

That was clearly bollocks as we spending a large amount on Brennan Johnson and have been trying to close other deals today.

We all know we could have done more on paper and I'll be very disappointed if we can't get another CB in - but I'm certain that more deadwood will leave even if it involves terminations.

The more that get pushed out the door, the easier it will be going forward. There is still a nucleus of players who are happy to run their contracts down and to complete the rebuild................. they all need to go.

Levy has made enormous mistakes over the years and rectifying the squad issues is not easy

If it ends up being Johnson only and we’re left with Sanchez and Dier as our backup CBs, with Lloris, PEH and Ndombele on the books eating wages, then it’s hugely disappointing.

Same shit, different window - I should know better by now.
I don’t think you and others realize how difficult it is to shift players in the current market. Only way to get a decent fee is for a top player like Kane going to a big club, a player with big name/reputation that interests the Saudi’s or find a Premier League team. That is literally the only clubs with any sort of buying power, everyone else is broke.

So if you don’t do the above, you are left with lowball offers and then hope the player under contract will go. All three you mentioned above had offers that we were ready and willing to accept but the players refused.

This would be truly incredible. Why conduct ourselves this way? Just looks so amateur.

Entirely possible there’s no one actually here, but if this is true, really no words to describe how pathetic it is.

Levy has took THFC full circle in his tenure, now on the same level as Brighton, Brentford, Villa - next year will be Everton, Forest. In that time he has knocked down our beloved home, to move into a soulless bowl he built for tourists and NFL, and sold our best ever goal scorer. Yet gets away with it year after year.

That really would be a new low for the club if we’ve got a player potentially doing a medical and mess him around at the last minute.

I'm annoyed if it ends with just Johnson but it's nowhere near one of our worst windows.

We've brought in Vicario, VdV, Maddison & Johnson who all arguably improve our starting XI.

Yes we've failed to shift the shite once again, but it's not anywhere near as bad as people are making out. Are we a couple of players short, yes we are. But the squad is at the start of a rebuild and it's going to take time.

For some reason I've always thought this. I don't think anyone would be shocked. It doesn't seem like either will be registered at this point, and it seems both wants control over their futures so are happy to see out their contracts. The club is probably praying to flog either of them and then will review options last minute to terminate IMO.

I don't see it as a bad thing either at this point. To "reset" the squad sometimes you have to just rip the band aid off, thank you for your service, but we're going in different directions now. I think it'd help us in the long term .
