Most definitely think Valencia have been told to stem the leaks. Its so bloody quiet out there right now. Ultimate best case is that we have been locked in talks all day long and one of our heavyweight ITKs will have a really nice update for us sometime tonight when the clubs break off for the day. Its either that are we have backed off for just now and there has been no contact between the clubs today.

Do we know if Colecott ever came back or is he still out there ? That could be a good indication.

I actually think that no news is good news right now. The other day was very public, hence the ITK leaks. If this one gets done I reckon it'll be like Chadli, just a quick announcement put of the blue.

I'd say it's almost certain that he didn't come back, at least not with Baldini anyway. We saw pics of Baldini at the airport, had that kid who claimed to have chatted with Baldini (and had his pic took etc), yet not a single mention of Baldini being with anyone.

Forget updates on possible strikers...I'm more interested in the status of Super Jan's ankle/knee.

I think we still have other striker options if we need them, we can't lose a proven player like Jan. Here's hoping it's just a strain and there's no ligament damage!

I think it's also the case where he knows Liverpool/Arsenal are both looking for strikers and they're holding out in hopes that one of those teams go after him. Personally, I hope we wait it out before offering more. I think a lot of the press mentioning Liverpool are leaks on Valencia's side, and Levy/Baldini aren't that stupid and are calling Valencia's bluff.

The problem with the ITK's is they all jump the gun to try and be the first to confirm. Either that or their source has done the exact same thing. I do believe we have lots of ITK's on this board with some very solid info, but sometimes it's better to err on the side of caution because there are a lot of people on here who will take the word of an ITK as gospel and get very upset when it doesn't come off.

For our part, it's best to keep ourselves in check. Nothing is official until it's official!

And somewhat perplexingly those who seem to take the ITKs word as gospel are the ones who also won't shut up about how useless they are.

Listen, we are all in this thread for one reason and one reason only, to see what the ITK's have to say on incoming/outgoing players and such like. There is no reason whatsoever to question them, if anyone here does not want to be privy to their info then leave. I want to see what they have to say and look forward to seeing JJ/Grey fox/Ryan/LLM etc... Popping in with some info. It isn't always going to be concrete as they are relying on info from insiders which may be second hand...Chinese whispers and all that. But they are passing on in good faith, and I appreciate them going out of their way to post info, as I am sure most of us do. Lets not risk pushing them out to post elsewhere.

Also think if valencia have closed the leaks because we've told them to they must really want this to happen if they've closed the leaks themselves then same again they must really want this to happen.
Everything points to this being closed or indeed already being closed.

What I can't get my head round is the apparent media talk that Bale should leave spurs to go to Madrid

In particular Talkshit. Had the misfortune to listen to Goldstein and Higgingbottom last night on the way home from playing football and they way they were talking is that staying at spurs simply would not be an option.

Sky and the newspapers also seem to encouraging him to leave.

For the life of me I don't get this approach. Here we have a special special player playing in our league. Why would they want him to leave? Surely it's good for the league to have him playing here. If he left long with say Suarez. Which truly world class players would we have in our league? An aging RVP perhaps? There is a shortage

The media should be encouraging him to stay here.

Think it's a very strange approach.
