I think he's seen by many on here as someone who can play a range of attacking roles rather than a straightforward striker...

Right. I'd never heard of him, and his stats on Wiki didn't seem to justify all the gushing excitement. If he has 'potential' then sign him up.

Would take PAE over Damiao. Imagine if we don't lose Ade, a front 3 of Bale, Ade (on form) and PAE. Interchangeable too.

I doubt any manager will ever have a good relationship with DL. Levy is similar to Abramovich in believing that managers are disposable and he knows best in all things. The evidence being the huge number of managers we have had under his charge. He got rid of BMJ, he got rid of Harry when both had taken the club to higher league positions than before. AVB was a cheap option ith little money to pay in compensation to anyone for either the new or outgoing manager. DL is not going to give any manager what they want unless that falls in direct alignment with what he wants. Fryers, Holtby, looking at Zaha are all DL type deals. Leandro or Mouts are not; i.e. paying top price for an established player. That is why I will be shocked if we get any of the established names being bandied about...unless they are on a free or ultra cut price deal

16m Modric, 15m Bentley, 16m Bent, 15m Dembele, 16m Defoe, 16m Keane. I'd say there are occasions when he's overpaid for established names.

As far as €30m for Damiao, I don't see too many clubs beating Inter's door down, and the same goes for the price being quoted for Moutinho. So why should we ?

Neither Ramos or Redknapp came cheap either.

Sell Livermore, Hudd, Jenas & Gomes. £9m
Sign Sissoko, Aubameyang/Belhanda & Holtby early. £16m
Good economics. Getting shut of deadwood and bringing in 3 great young players paying only £7m net. Just fucking do it Levy.

David's on SS1 talking about when he joined spurs. Twenty seconds on our mission and what he wanted to bring. Nice.

3om euros for Damiao is completely unrealistic and i still cant see why alot of people are desperate for him to come? i would rather go for Llorente who is a proven European striker and when he has played against top British teams hes looked comfortable? Damiao has only been a success in his own country would take time to settle ( if at all ) and at that price no wonder no deal will be done not just with us but everybody out their....move along and forget this guy and his many owners ....hes a footballing prostitute with many pimp daddies. ;)

Leandro is like that absolutely stunning looking woman in the club who never seems to have a bloke with her, week after week you see her with no fella, you have enquired and you convince yourself that she's turned down your repeated advances because a) she must have other, better suitors or b) she bats for the other side.... but no the fat lasses that she hangs out with (or agents in this simile) keep feeding you with titbits of info like "No, she is desperately lonely and is looking for a bloke" and "i think she quite likes you", so you roll up your sleeves and try again the next week convinced that this time it might happen .....

Basically you are praying for the week that she is absolutely frothing at the knickers and will take on any waif and stray ......

However to make this similie completely accurate ..... You need to make provisions to get all the fat lasses laid at the same time....

Here endeth the lesson ...... dont trust fat lasses that hang around fitties.

Germaine Greer must be turning in her grave.

£12m is too much for Aubameyang, 12m euros maybe. Saint-Etienne aren't having the best season but Aubameyang hasn't scored or assisted in has last 7 games. Don't see him lighting up the PL at all really, Newcastle are showing interest and we'd be mugs to go into a bidding war on this guy who's overpriced and doesn't cut the mustard.

Can someone please point me toward the post containing ITK about Aubameyang?

I'd like to add it to the Read Only and ITK Ticker.
