A little update for you guys. Spoke to my mate at work this morning. He was at Nolitas bar in brookmans park on Friday night. He bumped into jake livermore! Had a quick convo with him. He said all the players have met the new manager but wouldn't say who. Also said we should hear about a investment this week.

So if all the players have met him, it can't be anyone at the euro's! Surely it must be AVB or Pep (I doubt it).

I'm sorry guys, but I have always believed that the ITK'ers have been played. If Levy wanted to make a statement of the kind of proportions we are talking about, then one of the first discussions he would have is how to stop it leaking through here. Cue mr misinformation.

A few people have shared my skepticism at the announcement being AVB, for me JJ was far too coy on the managerial appointment stuff and kept it to players most of the time.

Something is afoot and it doesn't smell like AVB, the next 48hrs or so should prove me right or wrong I would imagine.

If its not AVB today I'll be surprised.
I was told last Wednesday by someone with contacts at player and staff level at WHL that AVB was done. Blanc's availability now puts a slight doubt in my mind and I have went from 100% sure on AVB to 99.9%.

Maybe Levy is being a sneaky little f*ck*r. Maybe he has played it that AVB will be the new guy. Maybe only one or two folks are privy to what exactly is going on, and the rest are being fed a line that its AVB. Mean while, Levy and a selected one or two work away on thrashing out a deal for Blanc or Deschamps??.

There's been a fair bit of smokescreen talk over the last few weeks, but I'm not sure why we'd need to, if it was to cover up Blanc or Deschamps becoming our new manager.

The only time I can see up putting up a smokescreen is if we were after Pep, as any sign that he might be in the market for a return to management would have the the world and their wife knocking at his door.

And we all know that could never be the "news that will blow your socks off"!

I just think the idea that all the players, (who were on holiday at the time and possibly spread far and wide over the UK and even the world) have been dragged in to meet the new manager, who hasn't even been named, without anyone getting wind of it either before or after the event is unlikely. Especially when they can all 'safely' meet him once they turn up for pre-season and the new manager's identity has been revealed.

Like I said, no offence, I'm not calling you or your mate fibbers, but it doesn't ring true to me. If I were to take a guess i'd say Livermore was on the wind-up.

Spain just won their 3rd title in a row never been done that will have maximum press coverage for a while, so DL could wait until that dies down before making an announcement

I can't see why we would hold of making announcements for Spain winning the Euros, its like we are following an election not a football club. "Must release that story to get coverage on that issue that will win us the chicken badge vote for sure". Plus if the news is big then it will be a main focus anyway so no issues there and anything big announced today will get lots of coverage tomorrow - its not as if were all Spanish is it!

A slight mishearing and filling in the blanks, then passed on as full info, to you who passes on in the best of faith. I'd say the players almost certainly have met the new man if there is an announcement imminent, but why the players would be in on any potential investment to the club seems less likely somehow...Not really his job to be knowing that stuff....
